The most likely other name is somebody whose first name is Francis, to make Francis Marion ... who would also go with Fox. So Diller may go with something else.

Filling in a couple of blanks
9. Michigan Republicans have wanted to turn the Wolverine State into a "red" state for years. They officially got their wish earlier this year, thanks to this mayor.
DAVE BING????
40. This actress, whose film career lasted only a decade, became a member of AMPAS almost 50 years after she retired... thanks to a lot of convincing from her friend, Ann Miller.
How about JUNE HAVER? She retired from films after marrying Fred MacMurray.
55. White Rain hairspray and Sanderson Farms chicken can boast that they've had her as their longtime spokesperson.
I don't know about Sanderson Farms but White Rain was LOUISE MANDRELL and she fits alpha.
58. This former U.S. House representative, who is the son of a former U.S. House representative, destroyed his own political career when he refused to quit the U.S. Senate race that he had no chance of winning and refused to endorse the independent candidate who could have won that U.S. Senate race.
I am guessing KENDRICK MEEK -- the independent would be Charlie Crist. The votes for Crist and Meek together is more than Marco Rubio got.

Re: New Game: Switcheroo CONSOLIDATION
Wow... I think that's the quickest anybody has ever figured out the Tangredi in any of my games. I thought for sure that somebody would take the bait and immediately look for an alphabet-related Tangredi after realizing that there will be 26 final matches. So good job on avoiding that trap.
In this consolidation:
--One definite answer is wrong, but it has since been corrected.
--All of the answers with question marks are wrong
--Several parts of the matches are wrong (either wrong names matched together or names matched with wrong associated words), but they will certainly work themselves out as the game progresses.

Identify the 77 people and fictional characters based on the clues below. Using each answer only once, form 26 matches of 3 names and 2 of the associated words in the Word List based on a Tangredi, or hidden principle that you must discover for yourself. There may be alternate matches, but only one configuration will allow you to complete the puzzle.

this could match with Allyson Felix to give us Felix Adler but I don't see Ethical or ACLU or Labor or Tenement or any of the words I would think of off the bat.

In this consolidation:
--All of the definites are correct.
--All of the guesses with question marks are wrong.
In the matches section:
--Three names are in incorrect trios.
--One correct derived name is paired with an incorrect associated word.
As I'm sure many of you have figured out, there are a lot of red herrings amongst the matches and associated words. But I have faith that you guys will sort it all out. (I have faith this time because this isn't my previous puzzle.

There may be alternate matches, but only one configuration will allow you to complete the puzzle.
Now I'm sure that most of you are sitting there, demanding that I check my math. "If there are 77 names and each can be used only once, you can't make 26 triplets because 77 isn't divisible by 3." Well, that's the Fireball twist this time around. You have to identify this clueless person on your own in order to complete the 26th and final triplet.

This is probably RICHARD LEWIS, who comes alphabetically between Jennifer Jones and Heather Locklear, and has a great name for this game!
And by the way, we should change BEN FRANKLIN to BENJAMIN FRANKLIN, so that we can use BENJAMIN as a last name. And maybe BENJAMIN FRANKLIN goes with PAUL PIERCE for Franklin Pierce? I don't know what the associated word would be, though.
