This exchange had me rooting for Chris. Imagine a contestant who can actually quantify the risk/reward and identify a good bet when he sees it!

And all Meredith can do is go ohhhhh, wow!

Had he recalled MBFFB®'s patented theory, it wouldn't even have been a gamble.

For any question asking for a number, if Regis is sitting across from you, the answer will be one of the extremes. If Meredith is sitting across from you, the answer will be in the middle.

Not sure how true it still is, but it was 99.999% accurate during the days when MBFFB® was doing his thang....

I thought his reasoning was interesting - if he bombed out on the first question, no one would know he had been on the show, and if he won big he could surprise them by flying them to a viewing party.

Here's an article about Chris's appearance.

http://www.mcall.com/news/nationworld/b ... 6319.story
Jacobs, a policy analyst in the Senate, most recently worked for conservative U.S. Jim DeMint (who resigned this year to head up a conservative think tank) as a senior policy analyst and author of a blog on health care policy. When he was hired in April 2012, DeMint called him, "one of Congress' most knowledgeable experts on health care."

Jacobs interned for Pat Toomey more than a decade ago while a college student at American University when Toomey was a U.S. congressman representing the Lehigh Valley. Jacobs said he received a hand-written congratulations from Toomey, now a U.S. senator, on his game show performance.
