Bad News For The Groupies

#1 Post by clem21 » Thu Nov 29, 2012 7:27 am

As some of you know, my Bored "persona," strange as it is, is not terribly different from my real life equivalent. Thus, the groupie jokes are at the very least a fair representation of my, shall we say, busy dating history. But a little while back, I met a girl who hailed from a town called Squirrel Hill (!). The Girl from Squirrel Hill was very different from any of the other girls I'd dated. She was brilliant and beautiful and cool and kindhearted. Where I had ego she had humility and where I was brash she had a quiet confidence. And unlike the other girls she stuck around. It was an absolute joy to spend time with her and she made my life that much better just by being around her. I was always somewhat skeptical of the movies and the stories that just said that "when you know you know" and "it'll feel totally different with the right girl." I was skeptical until I met The Girl from Squirrel Hill.

Last night I asked her to marry me.

She is and always will be the final groupie.

Last night The Girl from Squirrel Hill said yes.

Good luck! Is that the Squirrel Hill district of Pittsburgh?

Woohoo clem!!!!!

The Groupies may be disappointed, but I wish you and the Girl from Squirrel Hill a lifetime of happiness together!

I think other than college, Squirrel Hill was the only other place where I ever saw a noticeable number of people in traditional Jewish dress while walking about....

That avatar is incredible! And you actually got her look down pretty good too. But since she comes from Squirrel Hill maybe it's just natural...
