This was the Stone Pony in
Asbury Park, NJ, made famous by Bruce Springsteen.
I underestimated the difficulty level, thinking it was a pop culture item that nearly everyone here would recognize. Hence it was at the bottom (level 1) of the unrandomized stack.
However, it was evident that only some people recognized it and it was something with few other clues and, as a result, those who did not recognize the name were lost.
Ten got Asbury Park NJ meaning it was worth three points. Three more managed NJ despite missing the Bruce reference. Finally, three got JJC points.
JJC points to:
Saucy for responding with an MM and then as Saucy, as if the MM would be as unrecognizable as some of Mini's.
Marley for the lost-somewhere-in-LS reference. I think my next edition should be obscure and with song lyrics as the only real clues.
Clem for going elsewhere based on "John Browns Body" then finding the band was partly from Ithaca (!) Did you know John Brown was buried in upstate NY near Lake Placid?
