Wow.

The transcript can't quite capture the full effect of this one, it's well worth watching. Susan was obviously incredibly nervous, but all of her deep breathing kept her cool enough to play quite well. A powerful combination that had me almost as nervous as her by the end!

For me this was, without question, the most entertaining segment the show has had this season.

I hope she's not a one-and-done when she next appears...

I've been lurking for a while, mostly to read the transcripts (which are a great service). I've only auditioned once, when I was 19 (in 2003), but I've gotten more into the show lately, and I'm planning to start auditioning again once the auditions open for spring. I'm checking the official site every day.

So now I like to come here and test myself against the daily transcript, see how I do compared to the contestants. Of course, without TDC to tick down, it's easier. I figured I might as well jump in and post already!

The contestant, who is a smarty, pulls this out of her head somewhere although I believe she says it s a guess. Maybe not really.

One of the few contestants I've rooted for in a long time. I just hope she goes home with her 50K unless she's completely sure.

It's Pommeroy's Wine Bar. I wouldn't have known this answer at the time if this Q had shown up for me, but I just this week finished reading the Rumpole First Omnibus, the first three books in the series. I'm still not certain which came first, the TV series or the stories. Leo McKern will always be in my all-time dream cast as Horace Slughorn in the Harry Potter movies.

Jimmy Buffett was really only indirectly involved. Land Shark Lager is a beer made by Anheuser-Busch for Margaritaville Brewing Company. Margaritaville Brewing Company was a label created for Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville Restaurant chain. Land Shark Lager then expanded into sales outside the restaurants.

Dolphins Stadium was Land Shark Stadium for only the 2009 NFL regular season. It was back to Dolphins Stadium at the end of the season but became Sun Life Stadium just before the Super Bowl. The Sun Life naming deal runs for 5 years.

Nothing particularly hard here until the 50K and from the security of my recliner I even guessed correct at 50K. 10K, while a question as much about etymology as it was about medicine, might be tough for some people. Not this contestant apparently and not me either. But it is a very rare procedure done as a last resort and probably not done that often in this country.

A series of pictures from an eye clinic in India where you might find disease that has progressed to a point where this procedure might be warranted. Not for the faint of heart! Or the stomach...
