I hadn't checked for a few days. It says 3 hits in 10 days and I think 2 hits in the last 3 days. I think I mostly just used my debit card over the holiday (almost nothing added to the credit card this Christmas-WooHoo!) so I don't think there are many Georges to mark and add. But I did spend some before Christmas.

I've had three hits while I've been gone, including one from North Carolina, which makes my 14th state! Matthews, NC is a suburb of Charlotte, so that George must be trying to find Skoop or Heels.

What's the average time that those Georges have been in circulation? I know you've been an active Georger for far longer than the rest of us, but I also know that dollar bills don't survive all that long in circulation. So, were these recently entered bills or long-surviving veterans?

All 7 hits were first hits, and all of them were entered by me this year....

8/24, 10/22, 6/16, 10/1, 5/8, 9/17, and 12/17

I did get a hit from a bill I entered on 3/3/05 though just 10 days ago.....

Hmmm. Considering that I only got my stamp and started entering my own bills in April, you haven't entered that much more than I have. (This year, that is.) I guess I've just got to tweak my spending habits a bit, i.e.,

1. Stop using the credit card at the grocery store. Spend cash!
2. Stop trying to make exact change for my purchases. Break the big bills on smaller purchases, then spend a bunch of smaller bills on the larger purchases, all to maximize the throughput.

Cashiers must hate Georgers!

I pay for just about everything with fives and ones (and occasionally tens)..... if it's too much to pay for with that, that's the only time I whip out the debit card....

I stockpile the change until I have enough to cash in for 100 more ones....

Of course, I'm not as devoted to that routine as I once was, as you can see by my declining bill entry total.....

It says I had 3 hits in 10 days. I remember one from a couple of days ago. The person wrote an awful lot of info about the condition of the bill and one comment on the 11:11 ratio. I thought the ratio idea was funny. I never thought of it like that.
