Unless you consider the fact that this ^#&@ hotel has picked the middle of the vacation season to upgrade its parking lot. Actually got trapped in here yesterday, and got a notice under the door this morning to please move our cars by 9 AM. They can kiss my ass since I'm not leaving until 10:30ish......

Have you threatened them with squorrel power?
Given the overly generous amount of roadkill littering I-70 between St. Louis and Kansas City, I would say it's a good think I left ES at home this time around.........
And these guys have a steamroller..... don't tell Sprots!

What do you mean, don't tell Sprots! How could any sighted person miss that latest avatar? You're giving these people the wrong idea about me -- I would never commandeer a steamroller just to squish some rodent like a bug. A chainsaw, on the other hand . . . that, I already have.
For the record, it was a childhood dream of mine to drive one of those things -- they were fascinating. Then I actually drove a road grader -- it's tougher than it looks. I gave up on the "drive the steamroller" idea.

Sir, I must protest your avatar. As a squirrel, I find it reprehensible.
Totally believable, but reprehensible.
That avatar is NOT believable!
I would never drive a steamroller.

The deeper the Recession gets, the longer the audition lines get for game shows! I was so glad that we got to Morongo very early on a Weds. night in March for the Wheelmobile event! Those who arrived "on time" had to wait in lines wrapping around the Casino for hours, and it was a windy night in the desert. I don't know how they survived it! Wheel was gracious enough to extend their event until Midnight (originally scheduled to end at 9 PM) to accomodate the nearly 5,000 people who showed up, previous events had half that many attendees.
It's too bad that game shows don't adopt the Original PT M* process of calling in to get an Access number to the Audition instead of the "cattle calls". I think it's a big ego booster for the Producers. It reminds me of the "Velvet Ropes" of the Disco Era!

Nope, I will not. We are comfortable, though nervous along with the rest of the country. GW got back to work after our trip to find that 10% of her company had been laid off. No one from her immediate group since her section is doing well, but there were people she knew and occassionally worked with.
The "what would you do with the money" question will be answered honestly with mention of replenishing the retirement coffers and other items which I will make as exciting and interesting as possible. It would be too easy for local newspapers and even national news to jump on your head if Regis discusses your bad economic situation with you during your hotseat stay and they find out that you've got a chauffeur and a vacation home in Switzerland. (I'm exaggerating, but you get the idea. Our vacation home's in St. Kitts.

)
OK- then, as Spock would say, "Exaggerate".

Actually, it is exactly what he said.
You just misread it.

I quoted what he said verbatim.
And, yes, I was able to parse the rest of his sentence and understand what he was referring to. But since I found the phrase "Original PT M* process" ironic in the present circumstances and relevant to my own personal sacred cow, I
chose to draw attention to this.
You can drop this particular pointy stick now, Jeemie.

The chainsaw is fully functional and will be heard all over the neighborhood this weekend as it helps us say goodbye to two old lilac bushes which managed to put up a few green leaves but are mostly just dead wood.
Do not send ES by.
