DWTS Thread

Lil Kim - Sort of a ringer. A lot of dance moves up on the stage. Although the time in jail may have cut into her dance time.

JackAss guy - Obvious pairing with Lacey. Not great dancing but clearly that put them together to do some wild stuff.

LT - He is a few years farther away from the field than the other former football players. He will need to practice a bit.

Shawn Johnson - Should have some natural ability to fall back on. Any tumbing allowed in this?

Ex-Playboy Model - votes from the guys will keep her in for awhile at least. Doesn't really matter how she dances, does it? But the little blond giggly thing will annoy me to no end.

Naked Sex in the City guy - Very sexy. Not bad at dancing either. He will stick around for awhile.

Rodeo Guy - Not good. First to go I suspect. Prolly good Jewel is singing next week and not later in the season.

Steve Wosniak - He cracked me up. He really didn't need to put himself out there for public humiliation. And he really seems to be enjoying himself.

David Allen Grier - A bit boring really

Denise Richards - Not too horrible. But a bit timid maybe.

Melissa - Not bad given the amount of practice. She has pretty arms.

Belinda - Almost forgot her. Wait, I did sort of forgot her dancing. Not bad, not great.

Chuck and Jullianne - I am not sure it is fair since they have more together time than the other couples. But makes for good TV

So I think the rodeo guy should go home first.

I hadn't seen Lil' Kim for a while and I was wondering where she got Janet Jackson's face and then they play Nasty Boys, ha!

Maybe she got it at the same place Belinda Carlisle got Priscilla Presley's.

Cheryl looked fantastic and, as usual, she and Derek were tops with their choreography.

I'm already sick of the Julianne and Boyfriend kiss kiss giggle giggle crap.

I know that there are no lifts allowed, so I am going to guess that tumbling is out.

I am guessing that Johnson has had very little dance training, except for some ballet when she was younger.

I am rooting for her (and Chelsie Hightower, who will not be long for the show, with Ty Murray).

I am thinking that the Woz is the first gone. He is the poster boy for the socially-awkward (while a very nice guy. I enjoyed him on Kathy Griffen's show.)

I also enjoyed how some of the songs were apt for that person. DIdn't Apple use You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet for one of their campaigns a long time ago?

I hope Wozniak sticks around for a few weeks, he's exceptionally entertaining and I'd rather see him than a barely competent but boring person (LT) who will leave in a few weeks anyway. Plus it looks like he's really trying.

And thoroughly enjoying himself, which is fun to watch. Melissa "I'm putting my television days behind me and getting back to my real life" did pretty well, especially considering her shortened practice time. I agree with Shiny, rodeo guy was stiff and looked very uncomfortable. Not a Denise Richards fan. Not exactly must-see tv, but the season should have some entertaining moments.

Lil Kim - The first time I saw the show was when I was in prison! Then to repeat it again - then Tom and his crack that fell flat - cracked me up.

Denise needs to gain some upper body muscle.

Jewels husband - poor guy.

Computer guy was seriously funny - loved the visualization stuff he did.

Melissa was graceful - made me wonder how she makes a living.

I thought three name guy was way better than expected.

Is it time yet to change the name of the show to "Dancing with WGAS®"?

I forgot to watch! I wanted to see Lil' Kim. I figure the costumes would be LESS revealing than what she normally wore...

Not yet. I don't like it when they're "too" big a name (or think that they are) because then they spend all their time worrying about how they're going over or plugging crap or thinking they don't have to actually try as much as anybody else because they're all famous and shit and everybody will vote for them.

Hard to tell after one show, but I think this year is looking to be more fun than the last one. I was for Warren Sapp from the get and nobody else really did anything for me (except I thought Maurice Greene had the best improvement and I was impressed with how far he went).

Cloris Leachman and the Lance/Lacey duo with their 'we're so edgy and cool' schtick ruined most of the season for me.

It was. Both boobs were covered.

She wore a sparkly silver mini (with the cha cha cha fringe) with that off center strip over the waist that they like to do so much.

She previously was a Dallas Cowboy cheerleader, which explains why she was able to pick up choreography so fast.

I had been trying to figure out where I had seen Mellisa before I saw the clips of the "After the Rose" brouhaha, and then on DWTS. My wife told me that we had seen her on the "Cowboy Cheerleader Try-Outs" show that aired on CMT.

I had to laugh at the decoration that she was wearing on her lower back, in the color of her dress, that covered up her tramp stamp.

I knew all that - but.... what does she do for a living?

I loved Shawn and took a TV Guide poll predicting her as the winner. I'm sure she and her partner will work up some gymnastics moves.

RodeoGuy was awful and exemplified what I complained about with past football players (I missed LT last night) -- they walk around the stage in time to the music, and their partners are all flash and dash in hot colors.

Woz cracked me up too! I agree with whoever said they hope he's around a few weeks. What a hoot!

I really liked Grier and hope he's around a lot longer than the next couple weeks.

That photo with Obama and Palin superimposed is everywhere. Anybody ever see the original? I'm just curious. TIA.

And what better way to put them behind her than to sign up for her third "reality" show. Oh, and then the Bachelorette?

She turned down The Bachelorette.
