Mini and Peacock

#1 Post by Sisyphean Fan » Mon Feb 16, 2009 11:27 am

I waited a while before posting a response the other day because I was trying to see any other way that the exchange could be taken, and I really couldn't. Looking at it again after reading your replies, of course I could see it a couple different ways.

Thank you for your post, peacock, it meant a lot. I didn't think you were specifically stirring my shit, just stirring in general. Now I see that you were actually not being disingenuous, but doing a funny agreement. Without mini's response, it probably wouldn't have annoyed me, but that seemed like a piling on.

You are right, I was not feeling well, I was tired as hell for not really getting any rest for a couple of days prior and I was very sensitive after all the horseshit and guessing games from the previous day. So, even though I did try to see a different side before I responded, I did the same thing that I cracked on the day before; when I had a choice on how to take something, I chose the negative way and I apologize to you both.

Seriously, I couldn't figure out what I had said to upset you, but if I ever piss you off, just let me know and I'll quit whatever it is I'm doing.

Unless it's stealing your ideas for MM. That's first come, first served. :P

And I hope they figured out the shoulder boulder issue. Is that all better?

Yes, we need an up-date on sickness.

Are you feeling better?

Taken any showers lately?

Believe me, you'll know. Ha!

Also I forgot to add that, stupid as it may sound, I was a bit broken up remembering how upset I was at not getting a birthday crown when I was 6. I think that post being the jumping post for the turn of subject (subjects turning multiple times within a single thread? No way!) probably provided an extra squirt of Ronson.

Well, it's been what? Four days? So I guess I've taken four showers. Ha!

I wasn't home Saturday night, so I need a few more Evenly Gorgeous days in my experiment. However, one thing I was going to give a negative for was that it had the uneven swirly lid that, while aesthetically pleasing, meant you couldn't set it upside down in the shower. So I tried it last night and it does sit upside down! Now that's an engineering feat worthy of note!

I am feeling better. My throat is still raw but the boulder is significantly reduced and the ear squish factor is just about gone. I'm going to call the doctor tomorrow, anyway, because all of this reminded me that I've put off my normal f/u for too long.

Plus, I'm in a great mood today because tomorrow is my dentist appointment! Yay!!!1

Maybe that's what I need. It'd probably be cheaper than the time I had the urologist crush it up......

Regarding the Birthday Crown Incident, I got an email from Mini-me's kindergarten teacher asking him to bring in juice boxes for a birthday celebration for the summer kids around the end of the year. So I bought some and put them in the fridge and made sure the ice packs were actually in the freezer (because they are NEVER put back unless I do it  ) and Mini-me was so proud to be bringing in such an important part of the party...

...and she wrote back saying she was sorry, but she had mixed him up with the other Andrew in the afternoon class whose birthday it really was. I told her he was so thrilled and I already had the drinks ready and we'd provide them anyway even though we didn't even know the kid.

So sometimes the teachers have massive brain farts trying to keep up with all the birthdays of the summer kids that they forget about the other kids. Which sucks for the other kids, for sure.
