Squirrels are the architects of forests, the planters of trees, nature's own acrobats and show a zest for life that can inspire us. Every day should be National Squirrel Appreciation Day!

--squirrelmama (10/3/07)

Many of these (squirrel) migrations were probably caused by food shortages as well as habitat overcrowding. We solved that for them. We not only reduced their habitat, we reduced the whole species by about 90%. The least we can do now is share a little birdseed with them.

Over the weekend, we saw the first trailer for the new animated Ice Age movie. The trailers usually feature the misadventures of the squirrel in his quest to find an acorn.

In this one, the squirrel finds romance with a female red squirrel, but let's just say the course of true romance is rarely smooth.

Wonderful work, Evil Squirrel!

(Maybe the bigwigs at Unilever should start marketing this product to wildlife rescue organizations, too.)

I would love to, but how do you explain all the history behind it without sounding like a lunatic!

You know, how any of us sounds when we try to explain this place.

I have saved the pictures in case I can figure out something to do with them though.

Camel toe?

I'm not sure what that mean, but if it's having her right and left feet reversed, you're right!

Oh.

I did notice that there were certain details appropriate for "Squirrels Gone Wild".

But we wouldn't want to censor anything from regular posters, would we?
