Oh no, my avatar is illegal!

The T-shirt it came from, too! Maybe this one too:

Apparently the image of the Lombardi Trophy was too much for the NFL, and they sent a Cease and Desist letter demanding that Dan stop selling them. So, he's complying.

And get this: the NFL would like "an accounting of the shirts he has already sold." Well, I bought 9 of 'em (3 Yes We Did, 5 Yes We Can, and one Steelers Nation) -- and I paid cash for every one of 'em. And since neither the NFL nor Dan knows my last name, I'm keeping mine! In fact, I wore it today :P

If the NFL thinks it can confiscate my shirt, they're gonna have to pry it off our cold, dead carcass!

He should tell them it's not the Lombardi Trophy, but a representation of the ball coming loose from Warner's hand.

Yep -- nothing on that image says "Lombardi Trophy," or "NFL," or even "Steelers"! Except for the "Steelers Nation" shirt I got my grandson for Christmas. It looks to me like an abstract ovoid shape attached to a trapezoidal base.....

And the NFL is claiming to own the "colors" -- huh? Black & Gold are Pittsburgh's official municipal colors -- and the Pirates and Penguins also use them. But I have tons of black & gold clothing that have nothing to do w/ the Steelers, Pirates, Pens, etc....including some dressy dresses and blouses! They gonna come and rummage thru my closet?

Ooooohhhhhh - I just bought some of these yesterday! I hope the NFL plans to go after the Little Debbie company next:

I mean, they do say "Football"! And maybe the Cleveland Browns will object to the use of the term "Football Brownies!"

I'm still wearing my Yes We Did shirt. The NFL has not come to confiscate it yet! I think they actually want "an accounting" of Dan's sales so they can demand a percentage -- hey, I paid cash for all the ones I bought, so heck with 'em!

Oh, Karen took a look at the "Lombardi Trophy" and said, hey, that looks like a lemon stuck on the end of a knife. Works for me

I heard back from Dan the T-shirt guy today. He said the NFL just wants to see if they made millions off the sale of the design -- which, of coooouuuurse they did!

I'm glad I paid cash. :P

And the NFL claiming to own the "colors" is just a little over the top! Our sports teams get their colors from the Pittsburgh City Seal

and flag

I believe the seal was based on the family coat-of-arms of the Earl of Chatham, William Pitt.

Would they even be able to show this on TV?

I was visualizing a newly-acquired tattoo making a cameo appearance...
