I actually liked this year's crop of ads - and the game wasn't too shabby either. Maybe it's just because Hulu has turned my brain to cottage cheese (and yes, I loved that ad). Some others...

Career Builder "It may be time". And not just for the continuous shout-outs...

Bridgestone "Mrs. Potato Head"...unfortunately, I have a hunch that the ad might not get people to remember what product is being advertised. NBC.com has it listed as "Firestone"...

Pedigree "Adopt a dog" and Monster.com "Moose" - For no rational reason whatsoever, other than they had me howling.

I even liked the Pepsi Max "I'm good"...c'mon, guys, we've all said it...
"Again" - Herb Brooks (as played by Kurt Russell)

Did see the half-time show and it was great.
Both NBC.com and Hulu.com have all the commercials if you really want to see them.
Hulu doesn't work outside of the States either.

I guess I'll try NBC

The Monster ad featuring the Moose gets my vote. It was the only one that actually made me laugh. The Magic Doritos ad was the Baboo's favorite.

I didn't understand why a fourth generation American Clydesdale would speak with a Scottish accent.

Because the sponsor was afraid that audiences would find a horse accent difficult to understand.

I watch for the commercials with a Dalmatian. In "Circus," the dog got only 1/2 second on camera. In "Fetch," the dog was elevated to the status of "featured player." Next year, I want the Dalmatian to have the starring role!

You think? In 1978, the same sponsor was able to find Clydesdales that spoke in a conventional American English dialect.

Next time you have an urge to see Bud Dalmatians in lead roles, try this clip:

That's what I'm talking about! Those are thespians. That's acting! (And that is my all-time favorite Budweiser commercial.)

Thanks for the memories, Ed.

I liked the lovestruck horses. And this may be a regional one, but my favorite was Jack from Jack in The Box getting hit by the bus. The rest was pretty lackluster.

No, that was not a regional ad. It was part of a nationwide, orchestrated campaign to make people think about JitB. The website with "news" about Jack's condition was overwhelmed after the ad ran.

Doritos' "Snow Globe to the Groin" earned the creators 1 million dollars because it was voted the favorite SB commercial. Don't know the selection process--one of the authors was on the "Bob and Tom Show" this morning. He said they beat out the Clydesdales by .04 points. The makers of the Doritos ad are all from southern Indiana.

TiVo says the most viewed ads were:

1. GoDaddy.com: "Enhanced"
2. Bud Light: "Summer to Winter"
3. CareerBuilders.com: "It May Be Time"
4. Doritos: "Crystal Ball"
5. Transformers: "Revenge of the Fallen"
No matter where you go, there you are.
