Re: Stiller Bandwagon signup
This season is the first of my life that conflicting football loyalties have actually been a problem. It could be worse.
Been a Giants fan since 1975 when I watched my first football games. Boy were they horrible but several family members were season ticket holders. Still are. That year the Cowboys beat them twice. Apparently the scores were close, but I don't remember the games as being close. Merciless taunting from my punkass little brother (who saw the light in adulthood and became a Giants fan). After the first loss I kept saying we'd beat them next time (why I thought that, I don't know). My memory says that after the second loss, I kept saying that the next team that played Dallas would beat them, and nobody did until SB 10 (I refuse to play along with these silly Roman numerals), so I became a Steelers fan too. (Note: A quick check of actual scores shows that the Jim Hart Cardinals beat them the very next week, but I don't remember that) Amazingly in the 30+ years since then, I can only recall one game that was meaningful to both teams, and that was this year. Thankfully, the right team won. I'm hoping they play another meaningful game this year, but until/unless that game happens, I'll be rooting for them.

I did such a fantastic job running the Broncos bandwagon, I'll go ahead and jump on the Stillers bandwagon....
Squirrels are the architects of forests, the planters of trees, nature's own acrobats and show a zest for life that can inspire us. Every day should be National Squirrel Appreciation Day!

Many of these (squirrel) migrations were probably caused by food shortages as well as habitat overcrowding. We solved that for them. We not only reduced their habitat, we reduced the whole species by about 90%. The least we can do now is share a little birdseed with them.

The divisional playoff game between the two last year wasn't meaningful enough for you?ToLiveIsToFly wrote:Amazingly in the 30+ years since then, I can only recall one game that was meaningful to both teams, and that was this year.

You hopped on the Chargers bandwagon last night, and you gotta stay there! It's a rule!
Besides, FoodDude will cook you up with bacon and beans if you try to come aboard. Christie will try to save you, heaven knows why, but all to no avail . . .

I don't remember a divisional playoff game last year between the Giants and the Steelers. I recall one between the Giants and the Forces of Evil, though.Jeemie wrote:The divisional playoff game between the two last year wasn't meaningful enough for you?ToLiveIsToFly wrote:Amazingly in the 30+ years since then, I can only recall one game that was meaningful to both teams, and that was this year.
