She was due like the 18th or so........

Congrats to Bristol & Levi, and I send the same wishes & prayers that I send to all new Moms & Dads, of any age: That they have a healthy baby and be good parents.

And.....since Baby Tripp was born in 2008, he gets not only the Federal tax exemption, but the $1200 "windfall" tax rebate going to every Alaska resident this year :D

Finally! I knew she was due around Erin's birthday. I had one of those kids who wouldn't evacuate the uterus without a court order, so I know how uncomfortable she must have been.

I think she's better off unmarried as long as she's a student and on her parents' insurance. Later, they're better off married.

Which is better than an apprentice electrician's policy, I'm guessing! You get prenatal, birth, and the first innoculations and whatnot, and you're off to a better start than some.

After the 30 days, he's added as himself as a dependent -- IF he's eligible. I had two cases of grandparents adding a grandchild in my HR days, and they had to provide substantive evidence that the child was their dependent, not the dependent of the parents, which would not apply in baby Johnny's case.

Yep, that's exactly how it was. We'd have pretty much had to adopt him in order to keep him on ours!
