Sex at the Home Depot

#1 Post by Jeemie » Mon Nov 24, 2008 1:52 pm

Never know when the subject is going to come up. Certainly I never expected it to at the hardware store!

As I was picking up some pipe insulation, my 9-year-old son was looking at the other pipe-related stuff, and then he asked me why they called them "male" and "female" joints.

The whole episode just struck me as very funny!

And reminds me that pretty much everything we do is related to sex somehow.

First I knew that fact.

You should take him shopping at a nudist camp.
I believe in the usefulness of useless information.

Get him a male and female rabbit, then you won't have to explain sex to him.

Even with a basic understanding of the underlying principle, I often had a hard time determining the sex of specialized electronics connectors. They often exhibited hermaphroditic characteristics.

Have you been shopping in West Hollywood again?
