lb re: Cardinals
Do have any interest in Cardinals stuff other than what you personally accumulate? I was going through yet another still unpacked box in the garage and I came across my program from the Cardinals game I attended in 1979. If you'd be interested in it, I"ll send it to you.
Disclaimer: It's not like it would be a collectible or anything, because it was apparently in a box with a leaking perfume bottle or it was packed with my candle making supplies or something. The pages didn't get all crinkly like when something gets wet, so I don't think it was water. There's no scent but, when I tried to wipe the cover, the ink came off, so maybe it was my candle paraffin, I don't know. So the first few pages and the last few pages have a stain on one side, but all the players bios and everything is okay.
I'm really not trying to palm off old trash on you or anything, I just think it's fun to go through old programs and see the players and ads and stuff.
My baseball pennants, on the other hand, are pretty much trashed because all the ink ran (at least my Red Sox and Cardinals did, the Pirates one looks fine. Go figure, ha!).

Re: lb re: Cardinals
Most of the junk I have from the games I've been to is the scorecards I keep. I have the scorecard to pretty much every MLB game I've seen since 1988 (Some 230+ games.... I've lost count and haven't kept my stat book up to date in a couple years). I have old ticket stubs laying all over the place, and of course there are all the batting practice balls (and the 2 real ones)....WheresFanny wrote:Do have any interest in Cardinals stuff other than what you personally accumulate? I don't collects pennants/jerseys/any crap like that. Hell, I'm not, nor have I ever really even been a fan of the team. They just happen to be the only place I can watch Major League Baseball without having to travel more than 250 miles....
If you're really looking to get rid of the program and want to send it to me, I'll PM you my address (so long as you promise not to stalk me relentlessly).....

Like I said, I don't think it's necessarily worth keeping, I just like walking down memory lane. Although with the old Nuggets programs of my moms, the ads and fashions are the best part! Well, and that season tickets courtside used to be like 500 bucks, if that.
You're not a Cardinals fan? I'm shocked! I guess checking out Ken Reitz' 1979 bio and stats wouldn't do anything for you then, huh? (Although he's got some bitching feathered hair going on.)
Don't feel obligated, I can throw it away just as easily as sending it to you. (Well, no I wouldn't, because I'm a packrat. I'd put it back in a box and that wouldn't accomplish anything. Ha!) But I'll send it to you if you want, pm me your address.
As for stalking, I can do that just as easily by badgering you on the message board and not have to leave my living room. Ha!
