It's Restaurant Week!

In an effort to get us to go out and spend money, many restaurants are offering 3 course menus for $20.08. Some of them are pretty enticing...I'm sure smaller portions, but these are some of CT's finest restaurants (at least in Hartford county, I didn't search the others).

Rob and I go out to eat a lot and do the share a salad, share an appetizer, share an entree route and usually spend well over $40...this way we'd get our own for the same price! It's a good way to try some of the upscale restaurants in the area for half the price of their normal menu.

I'm especially excited to go anywhere that has the pumpkin creme brulee on the menu...I tried to get that at our favorite restaurant last week (they have it seasonally) but the had run out.

When I'm by myself I gladly make a meal at many fine cheap establishments. I was very bent out of shape last week when McDonald's increased the price of my Southwestern chicken salad from $4.59 to $4.89, now requiring more than a fiver when tax is added.

And for the love of hello kitty...am I at 1,000 posts yet???

What is really funny is I had never heard of them before and just last night during a focus group at this traiing course, their burgers were a topic of conversation from the panelist.

Guess I will have to go try it!

Yeah I love the place. I actually like the fries better than the burgers, they're always so fresh and there is a board up in the restaurant telling you where the potatoes are from that day.

The burgers aren't anything hugely spectacular, other than you get to pick your toppings and they are made fresh, which is a step above your regular fast food place.

Just be prepared, if you get a burger and fries, they will dump your fries (literally dump them) loose in the bag on top of your burgers (wrapped) so if you're not okay with that, let them know to bag them separately!

Oh there are also loose peanuts in the shell for you to enjoy while waiting for your food! Yum!
