Would that this were true. My dad got the taped interview. Three weeks later he got the postcard saying that he'd been selected for the contestant pool. The next day he got the call to be on the show. His original tape date was July 25th but a producer from the show called him and told him that he'd been bumped to September 4th. I sat in the audience that day along with my mom and my sister and he never made it into the hotseat. Once again he got bumped to September 24th. His episode is set to air in January. If he had gotten into the hotseat on the September 4th tape date his episode wouldn't air until June 2009.
