My dad is a huge fan. I read one or two of his books everytime I visit my folks.

My favorite is one of his King/Maxwell books - Hour Game
It's just really piqued my interest which is impressive b/c I read mostly non-fiction nowadays.
And if you really like Baldacci, you should definitely look into Vince Flynn's books which are similar and some would say better...

He went to my law school, he'd show up around Charlottesville on occasion, usually for a book signing.

Is he the one who wrote the book (the name of which I can't recall) that was made into a movie with Clint Eastwood, Gene Hackman and E.G. Marshall?lilyvonschtupp26 wrote:Just finished the latest in the Camel Club series,Divine Justice. I loved it. Couldn't put it down.

the plot
Eastwood was a thief that broke into Marshall's house and was trapped in a vault when Hackman, as the POTUS, showed up with Marshall's wife and ended up killilng her?

Suitguy is not bitter.
feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive
The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

Yeah, that's the one. I read the book, which I enjoyed, then saw the movie.themanintheseersuckersuit wrote:Absolute Powerearendel wrote:Is he the one who wrote the book (the name of which I can't recall) that was made into a movie with Clint Eastwood, Gene Hackman and E.G. Spoiler
They were sure different - I suppose because since Eastwood was the star they couldn't kill of fhis character midway through the movie; in the book the protagonist was the thief's niece.
