I went to lunch like I said I was earlier Miss Short Attention Span.... :P

The guy had one of those cheap folding armchairs set up out by the gate with 2 identical signs attached to it.... while he was sitting in the truck watching it because of the rain. Usually picketers and protesters put huge words on their sigsn to get attention, however these signs had no large words except for the written in word "United", which was the only thing I could read from my car....

He was gone when I got home a few minutes ago, so he either A. went to lunch, B. got chased off by the cops, or C. realized that not a whole lot of people that give a shit about the chemical plant come down my street, and certainly they aren't going to stop to read the fine print on his stupid signs....

I will try to find out what's going on for the truly curious though, which includes me.....

He came back about 15 minutes ago with reinforcements. There were 3 guys in 2 trucks, but one has since left. Now there's the same guy who was here earlier actually doing the picket pace (But not far enough to get out of the way of the tree in my front yard... but I could read the top line with said "Notice to the Public", and the bottom line is definitely the name of a local union), and the other doofus is leaning on the truck parked in front of my house watching him....

I overheard the one guy who left ask them if they were coming back tomorrow. I'll bet they are....

Knowing a great deal is not the same as being smart; intelligence is not information alone but also judgment, the manner in which information is collected and used.

One of my former managers told me a funny story about the guys who were picketting at a Supercenter grand opening where he was working at the time, and the picketers decided to make a few more signs....

Guess where they bought the materials from. Yep, the same store they were urging people to boycott.... :P

They don't bother to picket our store, because all the steelworkers shop there the weekend after they get paid....

Did you ever see the episode of Family Guy where Peter and Brian plan to picket the Big Boxmart?

So why aren't you out there showing some solidarity with your fellow 'noisians? Drag your ass across the street and offer the fellas a Pepsi and a Snickers bar!
We, the HK Brigade, do hereby salute you, Marley, for your steadfast devotion to ontopicosity. Well done, sir!
