The first time Trump attended the White House Correspondents’ Dinner was in 2011. Obama revealed his long-form birth certificate and embarrassed Trump.
The whole thing was a distraction from the raid on Osama bin Laden’s hideout in Pakistan. I’m surprised that Trump has never claimed he was in on the operation.
If this attack was staged, it has to be for a military objective. In the real world, nobody fakes an assassination attempt for political gain.

Crazy thought. As far as I know right now, no motive for the attack has been released. What if the President was not the target? This is always one of the largest collection of journalists in a single place in Washington. What if the gunman's real intention was to eliminate as many of the "enemies of the people" as possible? Sorry. I'll go put my tin foil hat back on.

Except, perhaps, Vladimir Putin. According to sources vetted by European intelligence, Russia suggested an assassination attempt on Viktor Orban prior to the recent election to “fundamentally alter the entire paradigm of the election campaign”.

I'm not going to defend this guy. He's a nut and he deserves whatever punishment he's going to get. Political violence is wrong, regardless of the target or motivation. I don’t think it was staged.
It’s certainly more plausible to think that the Secret Service under Trump has further declined, and that they can’t manage any kind of security competently.
It does point away from the Biden Secret Service being predisposed to letting Trump die at Butler.
I also don’t think a ballroom is going to help if the people guarding it are idiots.
But the real giveaway is how others reacted. I would think Stephen Miller, if he knew it was some sort of fake, he would not have hid behind his pregnant wife, grabbing her tit to hold on for dear life. What a piece of shit.

The article does not have the full quote, but I would note, and this was a speech to the World Economic Forum, Trump said of Somalis, “I always say these are low-IQ people".
It’s certainly one thing to point out a certain person may be terrible. But if I said, for example, all people from Texas have fat mouths, and spout off things that aren’t backed up by facts, that would be a little bit bigoted, though not quite as loaded as saying something about Black people or another minority group. Do you understand that?
