Bye-bye Orbán

Hungarian prime minister Viktor Orbán’s Fidesz party was soundly defeated in the parliamentary election today. The new premier Peter Magyar, while not a progressive, believes in democracy and stronger ties to the European Union. Orbán was endorsed by Trump, Vance and Putin.

The weirdest part about it is only narcissists like Trump and Vance would think that their opinion would do anything to swing this election.

Orban was gonna lose anyway, but I can’t imagine Hungarians being told who to vote for by the United States, with some sort of underlying threat of withholding economic help if the other guy won, would ever help - but as we’ve seen with the horrible set of miscues in Iran, they seem to be in a bit of a bubble chamber.

And could they really tip their hand about what they want any more? I realize they released this huge document talking about how they basically wanted to break up European unity, but come on. They specifically wanted this guy to win not so much because he didn’t like the gays or whatever, but because he was a useful plant for the Russians that they could leverage to cause chaos in Europe. So strange that we have an American president actually trying to support the Russians. :-(

Poor Trump. He's lost one of his only two friends among world leaders. At least, he still has Vladimir Putin.

I wish I had all the intricacies sent to me so I could discuss them appropriately.
Y'all overestimate your intelligence.

Or you overestimate your insight into other others.

Other others sounds like something I would say. Snort.

When Ursula von der Leyen and George Soros's son (Alex Soros) and a couple of our Bored communists are celebrating the outcome of the Hungary election-the Hungarians maybe made the wrong choice.

I realise this is an attempt at humour, but as I mentioned, Peter Magyar isn’t a progressive (which in Europe means democratic socialist). His party is centre-right like the Christian Democrats in Germany.

His sex scandal is like something from a novel:
Who is Peter Magyar, Hungary’s new leader who trounced Viktor Orbán?

Indeed, what would three-quarters of Hungary’s population know about their own country?
