Trump Commemorative Gold Coin

I'm sure Flock will chalk this up to my Trump Derangement Syndrome.

The U.S. Commission of Fine Arts, whose members were all appointed earlier this year by Trump, voted unanimously to authorize the U.S. Mint to begin producing commemorative gold coins bearing his image. The size and denomination of the coin are still under discussion. U.S. Treasurer Brandon Beach released a statement:
As we approach our 250th birthday, we are thrilled to prepare coins that represent the enduring spirit of our country and democracy, and there is no profile more emblematic for the front of such coins than that of our serving President, Donald J. Trump,
Federal law says no living President can appear on U.S. currency. However, the acting chief of the Office of Design Management at the Mint says that the Secretary of Treasury has the authority to authorize the minting and issuance of 24-karat gold commemorative coins, which Sec. Scott Bessent has relied on.

I don't know if people can use these coins to pay for gasoline, rent, groceries, and all the other items that have gotten much more expensive under Trump. Of course, that assumes they still have jobs which a lot of them don't anymore.

Half the problem, of course, is the illegality of it.

The other half is, it’s just the cult of personality shit that happens in places like Turkmenistan.

The other other half is that his taste once again is terrible. This proposed image of him leaning over something and just glaring at everyone is, once again, a weak person’s idea of a strong man.

Is it possible for you to make a post where you don't denigrate me and/or trump? You seem to have a one track mind.

The coin will look familiar if you have seen the movie Airplane.

I picked the wrong four years to stop sniffing glue.

And once again your sense of humor is more attuned toward hearing that a migrant child was abducted by ICE while in the middle of a chemotherapy infusion

Is this a joke or Is that ridiculous image seriously being considered for a United States coin?

There are a couple of federal buildings in my town that I visited recently. You better believe that picture of Trump glaring at you like he’s a celebrity taster on Bobby Flay and he doesn’t like the steak being medium rare is hanging there for everyone to see.
