Episode 270 of School of War podcast is titled China's spies and features David Shedd of various qualifications-CIA-Defense Intelligence Agency-etc.
I am about 15 minutes in and it has mainly dealt with his Latin America experience.
He was the son of missionaries and mainly grew up in Chile-but graduated from high school in Uruguay in 1976.
His experiences as a young teen from 1970-to 1973 in Marxist Allende's Chile and other Latin American experiences growing up were enough to turn him into a staunch anti-communist and, as one might imagine with his Latin American experience he played a role in the CIA in El Salvador and Nicaragua in the 1980's.
I can't wait to read his China book "The Great Heist: china;s Epic Campaign to Steal America's Secrets."-I ordered this in hard copy.
But-I really hope he writes a book about Latin America and his experiences with his unique perspective as a staunch anti-communist American who grew up there.
