Mamdami and the "Warmth of Collectivism"

With Mamdami's promise of the "warmth of collectivism" in his inaugaral speech, I am guessing he hasn't read much Solzhenitsyn or even Shalamov's "Kalyma Tales."
I am guessing the inmates of the gulag in the sub-arctic Kolyma River camps found the "warmth of collectivism" to be a pretty threadbare blanket in the depths of winter.
>>>""Kolyma Tales" by Varlam Shalamov is a profound collection of short stories detailing the horrific realities of the Soviet Gulag system, focusing on extreme suffering, dehumanization, and the pervasive power of brutal cold, hunger, and forced labor, with "cold" being a central, constant tormentor that strips prisoners of their humanity, making warmth a luxury and a symbol of life itself in the Kolyma region's sub-Arctic conditions. The stories vividly depict how physical deprivation, especially freezing temperatures, reduces individuals to primal states, often showing guards using the cold to justify prisoner suffering and prisoners desperately seeking any meager warmth, illustrating the depths of human endurance and cruelty. "<<<<
Oh, but that's right-Mamdami is going to do collectivism right this time.
Well, at least New Yorkers can finally escape being subject to an extremely small government and rugged individualism and will be able to enjoy a big government for the first time in their lives and enjoy the comfy, warmth of collectivism.
Grab the popcorn-because NYC is going to be one hell of a show to watch.
