Reiner was a big proponent of liberal causes and an outspoken critic of Trump. but Trump couldn't wait one day to attribute his death (Reiner's son, a 32-year-old man with a history of drug addiction has been arrested) to Reiner's supposed TDS and the "anger he caused others." I won't say this is a new low for Trump because there's too much competition in that regard. But I will say that I hope that makes those who blindly carry the water for Trump (including one on this Bored) feel just a bit uncomfortable today about their complete and abject idolization of the man.

I went to Truth Social and looked up the President's post. Most of the comments tell him that he shouldn't have posted it.

Since this post was not about Rob Reiner, because it was obviously another 'Trump is the devil' post, I do not feel bad about discussing it.

First of all, Rest in Peace to Rob and Michelle Reiner. Their son is innocent until proven guilty. May God's justice prevail.

Second of all, I am just so tired of it all, SSS and doc and all you 'Trump is guilty of everything' and anyone who supports him is 'carrying his water' and all the other shit I've documented on my signature.

You are wrong, and have always been wrong. I don't support Trump and whatever he does. He SUPPORTS and ACTUALLY CARRIES THROUGH with what I'VE believed and voted for for the past 3 or 4 decades. Before he was even on the radar, I was a Tea Party activist. That movement fell through because of the Legacy Media's constant bombardment. As I have said many times before, I did not support him and did not vote for him in 2016. He won me over by actually doing what he said he was going to do and was successful at it. And he is just crazy enough not to care what the media or the multitudes of assholes with TDS say or do. I can do with that kind of crazy if it helps make positive changes for this country.

No, I would not support him if he went onto 5th avenue and shot someone. I would castigate him if he cheated on Melania. But he has not done anything like that since he entered politics. Can you say the same about politicians you carried water for and held up as idols, like Ted Kennedy (who let a woman die) and Bill Clinton (who cheated on his wife in the Oval Office)?

Trump was asked by reporters today if he had any further comments about Rob Reiner in response to the feedback regarding his Truth Social post. His response:

Well, I wasn’t a fan of his at all. He was a deranged person as far as Trump is concerned. The Russia hoax, he was one of the people behind it. I think he hurt himself career-wise; he became like a deranged person—Trump Derangement Syndrome—so I was not a fan of Rob Reiner at all in any way, shape, or form. I thought he was very bad for our country.

If Trump was a late night comedy host, his show would be suspended for these remarks.

Anyway, the country is a lot worse just for him being there. Brokeback likes to talk about how there should a civil war - makes him horny. But if it happens it will due to the guy who constantly divides the country. Completely unheard of in American history. Barack Obama wasn’t perfect, but he didn’t divide the country. He happened to be half black and that weirded out people.

So anyway, you own all this shit. It’s very hard to see how anything he can do will make up for the fact that he’s made our discourse so awful and stained our government so deeply.
