I completely avoided twitter for many years. Everything I saw coming and quoted from there was shallow and stupid. It was only last year that I was kinda forced to get an account there. It is still mostly untrustworthy, especially with the advent of AI. You can't tell at first glance what is true and what isn't.

But there's lots of information there that, once you can verify it, is valuable, and a lot of it is ignored by the more 'established' news sources.

That being said, I found these two posts that accurately express what I believe in. I will take out some things that I disagree with, because no two people have exactly the same perspective, but I will stand by what is posted below. So if you want to disagree with me, do NOT mischaracterize me. You have the guide to who I am below:

Are you sure you back a party that voted 100% against the abolition of slavery?
Are you sure you really take a politician like Maxine Waters seriously?
Are you sure you don't see anything wrong with someone who has a 40 yr career as a public servant living in a $4.5 mansion representing a district she doesn't even live in?
Are you sure you see nothing wrong or peculiar about Hillary Clinton a woman being involved in politics for the last 30 yrs having a net worth of $240 million?
Are you sure you're not just basing your opinion on hatred spewed by a crooked paid for media platform?
Could you even tell me 5 things the Democratic Party has done to improve your day to day prosperity as a hard working American citizen?
Probably not..
Do you realize the debacle you are sending your children into once they become adults by continuing to support a political party that has done nothing for the poor except kept them poor, gave them free abortions, and a few hundred a month to keep food in their fridge?
The prosperity and safety of its citizens is job one of your government.
Get with the program.

Smarten up and take a position for the sake of your children.

What Being a Conservative Actually Means (And What It Doesn’t)…
People throw the word “conservative” around like it’s a personality type… or a threat.

Wanting a secure border ≠ hating immigrants.
It means law, order, and fairness matter…
We believe families, faith, and personal responsibility matter..
These aren’t “right-wing” ideas..they are the foundation of a stable society…
We believe government should be limited, not limitless…
More power to the people → less power to unelected bureaucrats…
We believe free speech must be protected …even when inconvenient…
Censorship helps the powerful, not the people…
What Being Conservative Does NOT Mean
• We are NOT racist…
This smear was manufactured in the 2010s as a political messaging tool (Harvard Kennedy School analysis on partisan labeling)… and the media continues to ride with that rhetoric..
• We are NOT anti-immigrant…
Nearly every conservative I know has immigrant friends, coworkers, or family… including myself..
• We do NOT worship politicians…
We support policies, results, transparency, accountability …not personalities..
• We do NOT agree 100% with Trump, or anyone else…
Conservatives debate each other constantly… respectfully..
Many admire RFK Jr.’s vaccine transparency fight but question his positions…

Whether someone loves Trump or not, this matters:
When one politician receives historically unprecedented negative coverage across almost every network, it is rational… not blind loyalty…. for people to double-check the narrative…
Trump voters aren’t defending Trump the person… They’re defending truth in a media ecosystem that has openly admitted bias (NYT public editor, CBS whistleblowers, CNN internal tapes from Project Veritas)….
“You’re Just a Trump Apologist!”
No…we’re seekers of truth in a world where misinformation is packaged as journalism…
If 80+ million Americans voted for a candidate…
Of course millions will push back when media narratives are manipulated or weaponized…

That is not the “normal Democrat” many Americans grew up with…. The party is morphing into something else..
And it’s not representative of most liberals I’ve met….
A big part of why conservatives feel demonized is because Democrat leaders now routinely attack regular Americans… not just Republicans in Congress…

Said millions of ordinary conservatives were “a threat to democracy” simply for supporting Trump or questioning the government.

These were high-ranking Democratic leaders—speaking about half the country..
And we want the freedom to disagree without being demonized…

It's no surprise that you can go through hundreds of Democratic elected officials and find offhand comments here and there, some of which (like the "deprogramming" comment) are open to multiple interpretations. As opposed to Trump, Vance, et al, who spew dozens of hateful things every single day. The reasons Democrats and the media bring those statements up is because Trump keeps making them every day.

I have no problem with conservatives. I admired John McCain. I respected Barry Goldwater and Mitt Romney. But Trumpists have drummed "real" conservatives out of the Republican party by imposing a one-question litmus test on them. Do you support Donald Trump? Liz and Dick Cheney are (or in Dick's case, was) as conservative as you get, but they were villified and run out of the party. So was Adam Kinzinger. Here in Georgia, former Lt. Gov. Geoff Duncan suffered the same fate. And now they're starting to turn their guns on Marjorie Taylor Greene. The Democratic party is still the big tent. It stretches from Zohran Mamdani (who is not a Communist, and to call him one reveals a complete ignorance of the definition of the word or its actual history) to Joe Walsh and beyond. But Republicans who oppose Trump are labeled RINOs, traitors, or worse.

A lot of people didn't like the way the economy was going in 2024 and voted for Trump based on his promises to solve inflation and lower prices on Day 1. He's broken almost all his ecocnomic promises, and things are worse off now than in January for people living paycheck to paycheck. What Trump has given them are grand plans for a ballroom, a Great Gatsby party for the heavy hitters, and, for the rest of us, masked police in riot gear hauling off unarmed civilians from Home Depots.

It's no coincidence voters turned away from Trump and the Republicans in droves. Look at our two new Public Service Commissioners for a prime example.

The republicans you cited all gave lip service to the values and issues I mentioned, but when push came to shove, they ALWAYS backed off and went with the status quo. Trump says what he's going to do and then DOES IT. That is why you and your party are deathly afraid of him and ready, willing and able to use any means necessary, including assassination, to try and stop him.

Your party is going to hell, as Fetterman has noted. Oh, Mamdani ain't a communist? Sure! He sure talks, walks and acts like one. But he must be a transcommie. He is one, but you can't use his pronouns.

As for the PSC? The GOPs explanation is that it was another lawfare attack. This is the first statewide election held in our lifetimes in an off year. Why? Because the dems sued that the structure (having statewide elections for all districts) wasn't fair, even though they passed that legislation when they were in control of the legislature. They got a judge who arbitrarily decided to cancel the elections that were supposed to be held LAST YEAR during an all hands on deck election. Instead the judge moved them to this year, where only the large city counties had any other elections to come out for. The rural counties had no incentive to show up. Yeah, electric rates have gone up, but they've gone up everywhere for many reasons, but try convincing people they would have gone up even higher with dems in charge. And the dems, looking for something to crow about, spent 10 times what the reps spent. At least that's the story. We'll see next year when one of the seats comes up for election again.

I'm not sure what the difference is between that and "government-owned grocery stores," except for the larger selection of inventory. Mamdani's grocery proposal is to open these stores as an alternative for lower-income individuals, rather than a monopoly as in communist states.

Depending on the state you live in the liquor stores may be regulated. By whatever state commission does that. I've lived in states like that.

Your president is whistling a different tune after meeting Mamdani today:

I met with a man who’s a very rational person. I met with a man who ... really wants to see New York be great again....I’ll really be cheering for him. ... We agree on a lot more than I would’ve thought. I want him to do a great job, and we’ll help him do a great job.

I think you’re going to have, hopefully, a really great mayor. The better he does, the happier I am. I will say there’s no difference in party. There’s no difference in anything, and we’re going to be helping him to make everybody’s dream come true — having a strong and very safe New York.
