What NIJ Research Tells Us About Domestic Terrorism

The report, “What NIJ Research Tells Us About Domestic Terrorism,” was a project of the National Institute of Justice, an agency under the Department of Justice.

Here's the first paragraph:

Militant, nationalistic, white supremacist violent extremism has increased in the United States. In fact, the number of far-right attacks continues to outpace all other types of terrorism and domestic violent extremism. Since 1990, far-right extremists have committed far more ideologically motivated homicides than far-left or radical Islamist extremists, including 227 events that took more than 520 lives.[1] In this same period, far-left extremists committed 42 ideologically motivated attacks that took 78 lives. A recent threat assessment by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security concluded that domestic violent extremists are an acute threat and highlighted a probability that COVID-19 pandemic-related stressors, long-standing ideological grievances related to immigration, and narratives surrounding electoral fraud will continue to serve as a justification for violent actions.

I seem to remember this DOJ was in denial that antifa even exists.

Nice try, though.

Nope. No such thing as antifa. Just an idea.
I'm wondering if that's how NIJ views them, BJ.

Also:

Opinions or points of view expressed in this document represent a consensus of the authors and do not necessarily represent the official position, policies, terminology, or posture of the U.S. Department of Justice on domestic violent extremism. The content is not intended to create, does not create, and may not be relied upon to create any rights, substantive or procedural, enforceable at law by any party in any matter civil or criminal.

Might as well be a 'news' story in Mother Jones. Try again, BJ. Many of us believe what we see with our own eyes, not fairy stories about 'white supremacists' behind every corner.

As always, you can’t really attack the numbers or the information. You just call the other person biased and ignore them. Perhaps that article is crap, but we would never know listening to you.

Yeah, I must've missed all the white supremacists looting stores, taking over cities like Portland and burning cars and cities with mostly peaceful protests when Trump was almost killed, when they succeeded with Charlie, etc, etc, etc.

You interested in the numbers, doc? You tell me if ANY instances involving the 'non-existent' antifa are counted in this extensive study done by the previous administration.

So listening to you verifies numbers etc?
