Former Georgia Republican Geoff Duncan launches a run for governor as a Democrat
Former Georgia Lt. Gov. Geoff Duncan — who served as a Republican but publicly switched parties to become a Democrat last month — on Tuesday jumped into the race to become Georgia’s next governor. “Georgians deserve leaders with the courage to take on Donald Trump and do what’s right,” Duncan said in a statement announcing his campaign. “As Georgia’s first Democratic governor in 28 years, I will stand up to Trump and his yes men in our state while bringing down the costs of childcare, health care, and housing so every Georgia family is in the best position possible. That’s what Georgia deserves.”

“My journey started years ago when I realized Donald Trump was willing to lie, cheat and steal to try to overturn the 2020 election. I realized Trump was a direct threat to democracy. And his actions disqualified him from ever, ever, ever stepping foot into the Oval Office again. Now I’m running for governor as a proud Democrat to focus on what matters most to Georgians.”

Brad Raffensperger has declared he wants to be governor. However, the 'news' media has not pointed out yet that the delegates to the 2025 Georgia State Republican Convention voted to deny him the privilege of using the Republican brand for running for any office. If the State Republican Party decides to follow through on that, Brad will need to run as an independent or a democrat. But the State Republican Party still has a lot of RINO influence embedded in it. Neither Kemp nor Raffy has bothered to show their faces at any Republican Convention.

Doesn't seem like there is any hope in the short term for SSS to rethink his political affiliation.

I’m confused. He was shot. It was terrible. Some people reacted poorly.

Does that mean suddenly that people no longer need access to health care, and I can stop worrying about that?

Some of us are worried about the real problems facing this country.

Yes indeed. And a growing number of people are opening their eyes and realizing that the democrat party is morally bankrupt from the top on down and has been blatantly lying to us for years. And that they offer no solutions to any real problems in this country except hatred of Trump and conservatives.

You seem to be too blinded with your own obvious hatred to see that. Too bad. :(

That’s exactly what it is. As you’re the most clear eyed, levelheaded poster here, with no mental health of red flags at all, I’ll assume that must be what it is.

What is Trump’s “real” solution to health care in this country? Because he’s made access more difficult, and the person in charge of his health agency thinks the issue is that we are not smearing beef tallow all over our bodies.
