No. But it's nice to be able to hate on two people who so obviously deserve it.

I understand that, but I'd have to be judging many many people then. Not actually my place. My main point was why care about this specific company or how it's affected worldwide economic stuff, yada yada.

On July 16, CBS announced that The Late Show with Stephen Colbert will be ending in May 2026.
In an unrelated story, CBS’s owner has negotiated a merger deal worth billions that requires FCC approval.
In another unrelated story, CBS paid $16M to settle a lawsuit by the Trump campaign that claims 60 Minutes edited an interview of VP Harris to make her sound more coherent.
Trump gloated, “I absolutely love that Colbert got fired. His talent was even less than his ratings. I hear Jimmy Kimmel is next. Has even less talent than Colbert! Greg Gutfeld is better than all of them combined, including the Moron on NBC who ruined the once great Tonight Show.”
The other TV stars showed up to express solidarity with Stephen.

Lin Manuel Miranda and Weird Al sang a Coldplay song while the camera focused on “random” folks in the audience. (Now I don’t feel stupid that I didn’t catch the joke at first.)

Oh, I thought jokes were supposed to be funny. I guess 'jokes' are mindless and stupid attacks on Trump that don't make any sense. That's what his 'show' was built on, apparently. My bad.
Not too hard to see why his show lost $40 million a year.
