...would be the voice of reason in the Democrat party?
Sen. John Fetterman wrote:I unapologetically stand for free speech, peaceful demonstrations, and immigration—but this is not that. This is anarchy and true chaos. My party loses the moral high ground when we refuse to condemn setting cars on fire, destroying buildings, and assaulting law enforcement.

Didn't have that on my bingo card, but it's true.

Interesting that he became more pro police state and pro police violence after he suffered a major brain injury.

Interesting that in spite of his brain injury he's smarter than the average progressive.

Interesting your position is "condemning setting cars on fire, destroying buildings, and assaulting law enforcement." is pro police state and pro police violence. I assume you think that a pro police state and pro police violence is a bad thing and therefore you do not condemn setting cars on fire, destroying buildings, and assaulting law enforcement, or in other words, you think setting cars on fire, destroying buildings, and assaulting law enforcement is O.K.

I think that Trump was extremely quick to call in the national guard because he wanted to create a crisis that he thought could enhance his power. Folks I know in central LA were not impressed by the extent of the protests until Trump nationalized the problem. It all seems very planned by Stephen Miller to make American soldiers a reality on our city streets.
I say this posting from Latin America, where it is objectively more dangerous and where military personnel guarding hotels, restaurants, etc, is a reality. But here there are rebel armies in the south and east, not folks throwing Molotov cocktails because Stephen Miller wants to break up families.

In fairness, he was famous way before becoming Senator because he once threatened to shoot a black jogger near his property. It’s certainly possible he’s always been a fan of legally sanctioned violence.
But he’s become sullen, triggered, and weird since the stroke. Most of his staff have quit. He gets into weird arguments on planes. He’s not well.
I literally see the guy every two months or so - he’s hard to miss - as his house is about two miles away from mine and he shops at the same Target.

All that and still more rational than a lot of his co-workers. And at least one of his neighbors.

Maybe he can find second life in Montana like you did, away from all those scary minorities.

He could move here; it's a free country. Not sure why you find minorities scary, but we do have a few, including my grandkids.

That’s great to hear - I have certain members of my extended family who also engage in doublethink toward the minorities in their own family.
