Yes it is awful.
I wonder how long he's had it. I wonder how long he's known. He did say in 2022 he had cancer.

I know some guidelines say after 70 it's not routine for psa but you'd think him being prez would require all tests. Regardless it's scary and sad.

Biden's last prostate screening was in 2014. Trump had one earlier this year.

You'll not convince me that they really did not do PSA screening an the POTUS. What, saved a couple bucks?
The guidelines, I guess, for the age 70 is "it's not worth the effort to treat at that age, so why spend the $ to test". But the annual physicals for POTUS are not just to determine if there is something that might need treatement, it is to determine fitness for duty. This has been covered up, just like his lack of metal acuity was hidden until it was too much to deny.

I’m actually not that surprised it could be missed. I had diagnosed metastatic prostate cancer in a guy who sees the doctors, not too long ago. Patient in his 60s, so he would get a lot of the standard screening that might’ve been deferred in the case of the president because of his age. In a case of both, the presenting complaint likely was bony pain that warranted CT imaging.
Certainly, there’s an argument that a president should undergo aggressive testing, including the occasional CT scan, but that would be a departure from what has been done fin the past. Trump does not appear to undergo such aggressive screening, for example, and his team should tread cautiously, since every time they report his vital signs, they are notoriously exactly what you would put down if you were just guessing a good number and then moving on. The point is, all sorts of bad things can happen in elderly people, which may be an argument against voting for any of them.
As for the argument that Biden’s health wasn’t great and there was a cover-up in general, I think that’s already pretty much substantiated. Jill Biden seems to have been particularly interested in power. The harm they did to the country, not just by having a guy who was not 100% in charge, but by letting it drag on, so we’re stuck with Trump again, will become increasingly clear in the years ahead.

Weyoun, I posted this on other bored, but bolsters what you said.
"This probably isn't same as your situation, but Jeff was 51 when diagnosed. He hadn't had any psa prior nor digital exam. His gleason score was very high. Had a biopsy, I think T3 stage. Prostate removed. No radiation, etc. Had some other stuff removed.
After that he may have had a couple digital pokes. But just constant monitoring. Psa went up 2022-2023 and pet scan showed recurrence after 20 years. Radiation and hormone therapy, psa undetectable.
Net net is I would think, unless you have pain, pee probs, etc, psa monitoring makes sense."
Jeff actually asked primary care doc to check it based on a younger friend's rec, based on an Astros prostate cancer awareness thing, yada. Yay friend.

I will also throw out there that not all doctors at Walter Reed may be awesome, just based on second hand stuff I have heard (military doctors tend to train more on the young and treat the young rather than the old, as one example). The position of White House doctor is quite political, as now-Congressman Ronny Jackson demonstrated when his nomination to the VA exploded when all his shenanigans at the WH were revealed. Seems like you should just have a by-the-book person who dots EVERY I and crosses EVERY T, but maybe not.
