It’s ironic that the same free speech argument being made now to free this student were made by MAGA loyalists in support of the leader of the Proud Boys who encouraged but didn’t participate in the Capitol riot.

They are for letting mediocre men into women's sports and bathrooms.
They want war to continue between Ukraine and Russia with no end in sight.

You mean those folks who committed criminal trespass and assault in an attempt to overthrow a lawfully conducted election? You mean those same folks that Trump pardoned, suggesting that you’d have to do something pretty damn serious not to get such clemency?

One interesting thing about this fiasco is that the Trump administration never actually alleged criminal activity. When asked, they won’t say. It’s pretty clear that the issue is that the guy protested against Israel, and handler Bill Ackman wants him gone. Not even the slightest allegation of trespass, never mind assault. He’s being punished purely because of his speech, and as a green card holder, that’s illegal.

So, no, not like your example.

As always, if Biden does something, that doesn’t mean that Trump can do something worse. This isn’t a playground, whitefailure. This is our country.
