Well, the US is not going to fund the war anymore unless Ukraine comes to the table, which Zelenskyy does not seem prepared to do. He was apparently thrown out of the White House.

It may well be that Zelenskyy believes Russia has reneged on agreements in the past. But this time, if they can come to agreements, the US (under Trump, not Biden or Obama) will be ensuring they stick to their agreements. But behaving like the media falsely accuses Trump of behaving, and refusing to even talk about restoring peace will not win anyone's support except acute TDS sufferers (which the legacy media has plenty of).

Will they?

I think one problem is that Trump has given away everything useful. He said he doesn’t want Ukraine in NATO. He also doesn’t seem to want the US in NATO. He also wants Ukraine to give up territory.

If you’re Ukrainian, why would you accept that? He’s offering no actual guarantee for peace because he’s not willing to back it up based on that loss of territory and his disinterested in NATO.

If you are American, what is in it for you? Trump talks about World War III, yet the world hasn’t had a world war over this yet. Russia is actually a little bit on the back heels also. Interest rate over 20%. They’re also having recruitment issues. They are at a critical juncture. We actually do have a little bit of leverage - but Trump ignores that.

That whole scene in the oval office was embarrassing. JD Vance talking about meeting where they’re yelling at him, why he hasn’t said “thank you.” Vance, asking why they have to draft soldiers, during a war. Etc.

And the worst part is, Putin is the only one who benefits from this. I see no upside to us. A paper piece doesn’t stop Putin invading the next country. If Trump could do that, that would at least be something, but he doesn’t even seem to be interested in that.

It was repulsive, but since you’re a brainless moron who only understands the propaganda that you’ve given, I’m sure it made you hard.

I think NATO would rather have Ukraine than the US of MAGA. G7 would work better dumping it too. If there is WW3, history will lay it squarely on Dumpypants. Such a coward!

Everyone is talking during all this, so I’m not sure why you would assume it’s just as Zelinsky’s comments that have her bothered.

I’m still trying to figure out the American strategic interest in letting Russia occupy Ukraine.

Since there is no audio or follow up to the clip, it is extremely open to interpretation. That is your interpretation. Mine is "This is the Ukranian Ambassador reacting to the pettiness of a narcissistic bully who is throwing her country under the bus because her President will not give proper fealty."

No surprise there. It's what you do. No matter what, when or how, you will ALWAYS find something to complain about regarding Trump.
But we will see what comes of this. It is already being reported that Zelenskyy is putting out feelers to sign the mineral agreement. Even Lindsay Graham, the biggest republican ukraine supporter, says Zelenskyy should resign. Members of the Ukraine Parliament (one that was thrown into prison for questioning Zelensky's policies. Sound familiar?) are demanding a special session to call for his impeachment. I think she was expressing disbelief that Zelenskyy was behaving like a spoiled democrat in the Oval Office.

But you can have your interpretation.

I am curious. What do you think the upside of the deal is for Ukraine? My favorite part is the lack of any security guarantee, so if Russia rolled through Ukraine and cut the same mineral deal with Trump, we'd still be made whole, according to Trump.

Trump has little interest in geopolitics and is more concerned with real estate, commerce and mineral rights. He spoke of “keeping the oil” in Iraq and Syria. Trump would be more committed to Ukraine because of a mining operation than an abstract treaty.

I see nothing wrong with European troops in Ukraine as a buffer against Russian aggression. Putin doesn’t want to tangle with England and France. And history shows that America would be dragged into the conflict eventually.

I’m amazed that Trump thinks of Putin as his fellow victim of the “Russia hoax.” Putin wasn’t bothered at all by the notion that he could influence U.S. politics. If anything, it increased his prestige in Russia.
