A major talking point of the Left these days but I would just make 2 points.
1) Trump made it very clear that Elon would have a large place in his administration during the campaign.
2) Who elected whoever was running the show behind the scenes for the last months (years?) when Biden was simply not capable?
We don't even know who they were.

The issue with Musk is there is no oversight, which makes him different from other government workers.

Musk was appointed by the President. He is carrying out the President's policies. The president is the head of the Executive branch of our government. Just who do you think should have oversight here? These departments are not created by the Constitution. I believe they were all created by executive fiat and can be abolished by executive fiat. It is about time some of these agencies be scrutinized and held to some account.

The agencies were created by laws passed by Congress, and they must follow the law. In addition to executive branch supervision, Congress has an important oversight role. At the moment, House Foreign Affairs Committee chairman Brian Mast strongly supports what Trump and Musk are doing to USAID.
