Pardons for known, specific charges and specific dates. As they should be done, even if you don't agree with them. Not pardons for every possible crime committed over a period of years. You yourself don't even know the extent of the crimes Biden pardoned. Are you O.K. with that?

I’m actually not, assuming there were actual crimes committed. Still waiting on that part!BackInTex wrote: ↑Tue Jan 21, 2025 7:47 amPardons for known, specific charges and specific dates. For example, Liz Cheney hasn’t done anything illegal by sitting on a lawfully adjourned committee. If so, please point it out to me. It also seems unfortunate to have her prosecuted by the government because she did her job as a representative.
I find Trump’s suggestion of prosecuting her to be undemocratic and dictatorial, and hypocritical given his claim that he would end government political prosecution yesterday.
I’m also not comfortable with Biden’s blanket action. Now Trump can do the same. This is how institutions collapse. One person does one bad thing, followed by the other.
It’s why Trump is so bad. He’s actually a malevolent force, and those resisting him are so feeble and incompetent, they stupidly do stuff like this.
One thing I will give Biden credit for. I would rather have a president reduce drug crime sentences, than one who lets vandalizing thugs assault police officers and get off the hook.

Um-the families of Ronald Williams and Jack Coler would like a word about the commutation of the sentence of Leonard Peltier. As would the FBI Agents Association.

Did these law enforcement agencies have any comment on the fact that Biden felt the need to also issue pardons for members of the Capitol Hill police force in case Trump went after them also?

Re: 1,500 Pardons
But we obliquely were.
I’ve seen no serious suggestion or evidence that police did anything improper during that riot where they were completely unprepared and outnumbered.
The Biden pardon was directed at those officers who testified under oath before the committee, and wasn’t framed in terms of those actions anyway.
But Chauvin is super relevant, because you’ve gone out of your way to defend his actions, which were captured on camera, and were directed against someone, who, in fact, was not armed. One reason he was convicted was that it was shown that the situation did not represent a situation where he was an eminent threat of the loss of his life.
I’ll be generous and say that the reason that the actions of the rioters, who were objectively and actively engaged in criminal behavior, gets a pass from you because you agree with their politics.

You are seriously hysterical. How can one possible "avoid any points critical of Trump here"? It appears to be your life's work. I agree with Spock's earlier suggestion for Krox - if you move Trump out of your head you might have space for more grown up discourse. If you can get anyone to take you seriously at that unlikely point.Weyoun wrote: ↑Tue Jan 21, 2025 6:05 pmNot really. Sorry. Oh, OK, I'll point it out to you
Liz Cheney was part of a group that put together a completely prosecutorial, prime-time aired media courtroom with no opportunity for the 'defendants' to say a word. Then after it was done, proceeded to delete and destroy all the evidence they gathered, which is a crime. For example, Liz Cheney hasn’t done anything illegal by sitting on a lawfully adjourned committee. If so, please point it out to me.
But it doesn't matter, because the completely corrupt ex-president pardoned her and the others even though they hadn't yet officially been charged with anything. Mostly because the administration that ex-president was a figurehead for did everything they could to cover up, hide and block any access to information about this sham committee.
The political party that you defend is demonstrably the most corrupt party in this country's history. Tell me about 'NO ONE IS ABOVE THE LAW' when the figurehead president gives unconditional pardons to his own family and people like the aforementioned Cheney. This is an admission of guilt to anyone with a clear rational mind. They won't subject themselves to the same legal system that they unleashed on Trump and his supporters.
I think the majority of the American people see that now. And I hope your party goes away for a long time and not come back until it reforms and rehabilitates itself and frees itself from its core corruption.

Part of me wishes there was a public hearing about all this just to show how much a vengeful monster Trump is.
It gives him talking points also, and anything that gives Trump oxygen is problematic.
And I have suspicions about the entire part of the family President Biden, just like I have suspicions that everyone in Trump’s family is awfully crooked.
Finally, I’m worried that Trump will do the same one day

That "factcheck" did nothing to debunk anything. Where are the interviews of Cassidy Hutchinson's Secret Service Drivers after she changed her testimony for example? Loudermilk wants the video evidence of these kinds of things and is being told they are gone. Not 'archived' or whatever this 'factcheck' is trying to claim. No body with a brain believes anything these 'factcheckers' says anymore. They have been shown to be lying too many times.Weyoun wrote: ↑Wed Jan 22, 2025 6:46 amOK, there’s a lot of babble there, but I will give you credit: whereas as tweedledee and tweedledum can’t muster much beyond “lol” and “my gawd,” you actually put multiple sentences together.flockofseagulls104 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 21, 2025 9:06 pmLiz Cheney was part of a group that put together a completely prosecutorial, prime-time aired media courtroom with no opportunity for the 'defendants' to say a word. Should be easy enough to confirm, if they want to reconvene a committee.flockofseagulls104 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 22, 2025 7:46 amThat "factcheck" did nothing to debunk anything. Where are the interviews of Cassidy Hutchinson's Secret Service Drivers after she changed her testimony for example? Loudermilk wants the video evidence of these kinds of things and is being told they are gone. Not 'archived' or whatever this 'factcheck' is trying to claim. Liz Cheney was part of a group that put together a completely prosecutorial, prime-time aired media courtroom with no opportunity for the 'defendants' to say a word. Then after it was done, proceeded to delete and destroy all the evidence they gathered, which is a crime.
Now understand, having a televised event is not a crime. Other Trump is headed to Cocytus.
The one point that required a more substantial response is the claim that evidence was destroyed.

And I hope they do. If they do and the confirming evidence is revealed, I assume that you, with your superior mind, will examine the evidence objectively and will brilliantly express the fact that you were wrong and support that they be held accountable so that what they did will never happen again.Weyoun wrote: ↑Wed Jan 22, 2025 8:43 amShould be easy enough to confirm, if they want to reconvene a committee.flockofseagulls104 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 22, 2025 7:46 amThat "factcheck" did nothing to debunk anything.
