For those who might be looking

for a source of fact-based news, I'm currently in the process of evaluating thedispatch.com.
The Dispatch considers itself a "center-right" editorial board, but they acknowledge that up front. I can handle a news source with some bias as long as they disclose it. The reporting is as balanced and factual as any I've found recently, with none of the palace intrigue that's infecting other sources (Am I the only one who's completely done with "unnamed sources who spoke on condition of anonymity?") My college journalism professor would have laughed in my face if I submitted a story with that attribution.
I've only read about 10 pieces so far, so it may be false hope, but I have to admit it would be nice to go back to "reading the newspaper" in the morning. I'm considering actually subscribing.
Your mileage may vary, of course.
