Maybe You Guys Have Been Worried About the "Wrong" Trump

You guys have been all "Hitler, Hitler, Hitler; but maybe your worst nightmare is a unifying, effective Trump.
Personally, I think he will be a much better president now than he would have been if he had scraped by in 2020 and things had continued on that trajectory. As with Churchill-maybe time in the wilderness was needed.
The Susie Wiles choice for Chief of Staff is an unbelievable great start to things this time.
Just think about the people that he has been able to bring along this time that weren't here in 2020. Or if they were here then they weren't enthusiastic about it (ie Megyn Kelly)
IE-Elon Musk, RFK Jr, Joe Rogan, Megyn Kelly, Tulsi Gabbard etc etc-to say nothing of the coalition that elected him.
We might see great things that leave you guys sputtering in the dust.
Maybe God works in mysterious ways on his own timing and it is up to you to think about if we saw a miracle in Butler, PA, or not.

No, it will be the same as his first administration. The hateful democrats and rinos will work overtime to sabotage anything he says, does or tries to do. You know that. They are already organizing for it.

There are news articles even in the legacy news media about all these developments. Find em yourself.

God is definitely actively involved in America. That’s why that hurricane killed those people in North Carolina - so locals would get pissed iff and vote DJT.

Also, didn’t he have reputable people like James Mattis and Rex Tillerson last time? I forgot how that worked out.

Yeah, they will-but this time-they will know in their heart that all their anti-Trump crap is a tale full of sound and fury signifying nothing.
They have wasted a significant portion of the last decade being perpetually offended over Trump and for what? Nothing, and, realistically, the perpetual clutching of the pearls over every little thing probably helped Trump win.
Personally, I hope the usual suspects here waste a large portion of the next 4 years of their life being perpetually offended over Trump. Good luck with that.

Your sincere compassion for injured and killed people is noted. Once again.

Oh, and Qatar has kicked Hamas out of their country. I'm sure Biden had a hand in that. Or maybe it was Kamala?
I am praying that Hamas decides now is the time to release the hostages.

Who said I wasn’t sad? I’m just pointing out your monstrous theology. Why is God making Trump president but not stopping the death of children?

So along with everything else, you are an atheist, too? Not surprised.

I guess his standard for God is that no kids will ever die. IIRC-lots of Hebrew babies died during the Moses thing because Pharaoh killed them-but he was saved and religions based on that have survived for thousands of years.
And then there was Herod's slaughter of the babies but Jesus was saved.

To be fair, they've mostly left him alone *aside from the "he ain't right" nonsense floated a while back.

Again, that was not said. I can see why you believe so many conspiracies, because you jump to so many unfounded conclusions.

I think it’s more that if God chooses to intervene in the world, God is more likely to prevent the death of children than to get any American elected president. What an incredibly small universe you must live in - just big enough to fit your ego.

Like I said in the first post in this thread-an effective, organized Trump might be you guys' worst nightmare.
As compared to the first term-he is hitting the ground running.
Just announced Tom Homan as Border Czar-awesome choice.

Actually, I really don't see a whole lot of difference between his nominees this time and the first go-round. He's "flooding the zone," as Steve Bannon puts it. He's made some picks that are very traditional -- Rubio for State, Wiles as chief of staff (I know, she's groundbreaking, but appointing your top politico to CoS is pretty traditional), Burgum for Interior. A few who might otherwise be questioned pretty heavily -- Homan, Burgum pulling double duty as it were, Zeldin at EPA, etc. Then he throws some outrageous ones out there like Gaetz and Kennedy to keep the media buzzsaw busy and distracted from the previous group.
His first Cabinet picks in 2017 were a little safer -- but he still put Betsy DeVos and Linda McMahon out there, which caused a lot of squawking at the time. And Mnuchin and Zinke, as I recall, caused some fuss as well.
He's less fettered this time, so some of his picks are more "out there." But not what I'd call a sea change from the first time around. It's just that so much exhausting stuff happened from 2017 to 2021 that a lot of people don't remember the strategy.
BTW, responding to another thread on this lounge, I'm sure that Spock and Flock will be glad to hear that Ann Selzer has stepped down as chief pollster for the Des Mones Register. So the best pollster of the past 15 years is forced out (and it does seem that she was forced out) because she had the guts to actually publish her results without massaging the data. And the quality of information continues to decline.
