Signs of desperation

#1 Post by BackInTex » Mon Oct 14, 2024 4:53 pm

I don't even know what to say. Taking a page from the "Buying Votes" chapter of the Democratic Party's campaign manual, Harris is moving on from trying to buy votes by having hard working Americans pay off the loans of folks who probably shouldn't have gone to college, to flat out telling black men I'll give you money if you vote for me.

Not even trying to hide her racism, the progam is titled "Opportunity Agenda for Black Men".

Harris unveils agenda to help Black men 'get ahead' as polls show Trump gains
The proposals include providing 1 million loans that are fully forgivable to Black entrepreneurs ....
Like the ill-advised student loan transfer of debt (called loan forgiveness, but there is no forgiving, they would still be paid off) this would likely not get past the Supreme Court as it is clearly un-Constitutional. But the Dems are hoping black men are just stupid enough to fall for this.

Desperation is the Dem candidate, who has been in office a heartbeat away from the presidency for nearly four years having nothing to point at for a reason to vote for her, no successful record to hang her hat on, and can literally only fabricate lies about her opponent and pander in an effort to gain votes.

I agree. It is terrible. It’s vote buying. It probably is too discriminatory under the constitution. It’s a moral hazard to give those types of loans out.

Doesn’t matter. There is one person running for president who is not deeply mentally ill. Her name is Kamala Harris not great, but at least you can trust the nuclear button with her.

Sounds good. Deeply mentally ill with possible decent policies versus morally bankrupt ineptness and general policy evil.

Many should be. Some flat out should be sent back to where they came from.

“Should be” seems strong. My guess is that some of your ancestors didn’t have proper paperwork either. I think there needs to be much, much regulation of this stuff, but locking people up and sending them “back” seems harsh if they are contributing.

But I suppose I should be grateful that you don’t want police to choke them to death. I will take that to suggesy you are evolving as a person.

You added an "if" so I'm assuming absent the "if" you are also, like me, in favor of locking some up, and sending some back. I'll take that to suggest you are evolving as a reasonable person.

You'll note my use of "some" in my original post, which would require an "if" to make a determination between the "some" and the others. I did not, and never have said "all". Small words matter.

It does if you add the missing word. Not hard to figure out, if you're a thinking person. Lots of posts here have missing words, misspellings etc. Expecially when folks use their phones to post, with limited screen visability and the more wrong than right auto-complete, etc. and spouses continually asking "What are you doing?" that makes one hurry so you can reply "Nothing".

I'm sorry if you couldn't figure it out. It wasn't intended for you so I didn't feel the need to simplify.

Just saw a clip of the Harris interview with Baier

79% of people polled say the country is on the wrong track. Harris: Trump has been running for office.

No it was not the answer to every question. There was the "I will follow the law." when asked about her positions on the border and transgenderism with regards to prisoners and military. I think Baier failed in not rephrasing his questions based on that response. He should have followed up with "I understand and respect that you will follow the law, but given your comments on your position, will you attempt to change the laws to meet your position."

On the border, Harris clearly stated she wants to change the law and is willing to compromise with conservatives. She named two efforts by the Biden administration that were rejected by Senate Republicans.

As for transgender prisoners, I think these cases should be handled individually based on medical need. A sex change could ease psychological distress and help an inmate become an honest citizen.

The first one failed when they had the White House, the Senate and the House. On the second, some Dems also voted against the Ukraine funding "border" bill.

You are full on delusional on the second issue.

My cash flow isn't great, either, I mean, I still have to hold down a full time job while campaigning, but I still manage to make sure my mom isn't waiting on her SS check to eat. Of course, I don't need to use scare tactics to get elected.

He'd do better selling autographed palestinian flags. Then he could make sure his mom had something to eat and support the destruction of Israel at the same time. Or maybe bet on women's sports teams that have a man on them. Lot's of better ideas for him. Don't want to spread anything to do with Christianity. That would be verboten.
