Amazingly De Santis said in previous storms he worked well with Trump and Biden. Not so much now with Harris.

Um, Harris is not president. Not yet. An Biden has offered the same help as before. For some reason, DeSantis is less willing to accept. Why could that be?

Why would Harris not want to help?
Only sociopathic Trumpers think that someone from across the aisle deserves to die, or are stupid enough to forget that millions of their own voters live in that area too.
You’re saying a lot more about yourself than you are about Harris.

Everyone, including those here, are being manipulated by the media, from both sides.
Unless you are on the ground in the affected areas, and have been in the same circumstance several times to compare, you have little idea if the response is worse, the same, or better.
Helene was a huge disaster presenting many physical barriers to immediate and sufficient relief. It doesn't matter how fast FEMA, the utilities, or others provide relief, someone will be second, third, and last. And depending on the folks in charge, the media will applaud or deride them, based on their own personal politics and if they are aligned with those in charge.
Don't get played.

He's not at all unwilling to accept help from the President, which he has done. He just doesn't have time for distraction from candidate Harris, rightly.

This is Fox, which some will discount, but it clarifies what I was trying to say.

Fox won't let me view without my ad blocker, so I won't. But I don't think we are in much disagreement.

"President Joe Biden praised GOP Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis for being "cooperative" and doing a "great job" in his response to Hurricanes Helene and Milton, despite Vice President Kamala Harris slamming DeSantis for "playing political games" instead of doing his job in response to the storms."
""The governor of Florida has been cooperative. He said he’s gotten all that he needs. I talked to him again yesterday, and I said – no – you're doing a great job, it's all being done well and we thank you for it," Biden said at a press conference from the White House Tuesday. "There was a rough start in some places, but every governor, every governor – from Florida to North Carolina – has been fully cooperative and supportive."
"
After a DeSantis staffer told NBC on Monday that the Florida governor had chosen not to take the vice president's call, DeSantis later clarified that he was never even aware Harris was trying to contact him."
