Beware of the Three-Horned Goat

#1 Post by Spock » Thu Sep 12, 2024 10:52 am

Mrs. Spock got the heebie-jeebies real bad and I didn't even tell her the best part.

FTR-She doesn't read or watch occult or demonology type stuff. Doesn't watch Lucifer or shows like that. She simply doesn't think about this stuff. Other than normal church stuff and this was not normal church stuff.

Simply put, her mind is as clear of this type of stuff as it is possible to be in this day and age.

She woke up from a dream the other morning and described it as she was in some sort of church and there was a person there and a demon came out of the person and she woke up with the phrase in her mind of "Beware of the Three-Horned Goat."

Well, I googled the phrase and, of course, it is a demon. Oddly, his name is Leonard. Well, at that point-she got the heebie-jeebies bad and I didn't tell her the worst (best?) part.

Per Wikipedia, it is associated with being an incubus, which is a demon that seeks to have sex with sleeping women.

Whatever it is, it goes under the category of really, really weird.

I wouldn't mind non-sharing of your wife's dreams.
Well, then

Just to make y'all feel better. I can't remember anytime in my life when I didn't dream, in color except for half a one when I was wee. I'm sure during anesthesia I dint, but.
I've found my dreams usually don't contain major content from all of the day's angst, news, books, etc.

Some random thing I've heard, seen, read in passing might show up. And, yes, metaphors, working things out, yada enter in.

With that said Mrs Spock may have seen or read something in passing or she's calling you a goat.๐Ÿ˜†
Trust me, I'm an expert.
Well, then

I once dreamed I had fainting goats. Single-headed fainting goats.

I wish Spock would put post more often in the main area of the Bored. This is exactly the type of thread I'd like to get involved in.

It also reads a lot like a number of B-horror movies I've seen.

On occasion, Jake Mosher has a fun fiction article in "Bugle" the magazine of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.

The latest tells the story told to him by his Blackfoot great-grandfather who had helped track down an animal out of time in his youth (1910). I loved this article.

He had another one years ago that I should try to track down about a bunch of lost soldiers in the mountains.
