Muir decided he needed to correct trump about the Springfield/Haitian issue. (Somehow, he decided not to correct Harris about anything).

His fact check was that the Springfield city manager said there was no evidence of what trump claimed.

That, in a nutshell, is what is wrong with the mainstream media conglomerate. Their facts are what they are told by the government. He did NOT say ABC News investigated for themselves.

Here's a guy who did his best to investigate, talking to real people on both sides. I still don't know what to believe, but at least this guy made the effort to give us real information. ABC News made one phone call and based their 'news' on that.

This is what the news conglomerate SHOULD be doing, but even if they did, their credibility is shot because of YEARS of lying to us.

That’s because I didn’t watch your stupid video. I’m sure it has 12 pop-up ads and a virus. Both sides to the issue, just like there’s no both sides to Charlottesville. Even if you could find some example of an Haitian person eating a cat, that doesn’t mean immigration to this country must stop.

The government often settles refugees in seemingly random places, so they get spread out nationwide.

Second, the report claims that the person knew they were Haitian because he was close enough to hear them speaking Haitian Creole, but he wasn't close enough to get a picture or a license plate. Sounds like someone is trolling the cops. --Bob

Not in their defense, Spock, but stealing geese isn't all that unusual. Locally, some geese were multiplying and taking over a privately-owned golf course. They were bothering the golfers, and pretty soon they were gone. I dunno what happened to them.

Until she retired, one of my friends worked at a huge office complex in Denver. A new company got the maintenance contact, and geese started disappearing from the beautiful central pond. Turns out the family was also in the restaurant business, and sure enough, goose dishes were on the menu for a while until the family was fired. I think the disappearances should have been allowed to continue: The City of Denver has rounded up and slaughtered geese over the last three years with the intent to permanently reduce the birds' population in city parks. In 2019 alone, more than 1,600 geese were rounded up and killed from Washington, Garfield, Sloan's Lake, and City parks.

I believe that if it weren't for the debate's meme-worthy assertions, we would never have heard of these geese.

Well, first of all, booby, you use the epithet 'election denier'. Please give me your definition of that term.

I heard Muir go back to the that same bullshit one of the times when he was 'fact checking' trump. Repeating the crap that any questioning of the 2020 election was 'false' or 'debunked'. David Muir does not and cannot possibly know, nor can anyone in the media conglomerate, if Donald Trump's claims of election fraud are true or false. The only thing he can, and should, say, is that the declared results were that Biden was elected. But there are TONS of evidence that can not be refuted that there was extensive fraud in both the 2020 and 2022 elections. So the media conglomerate has been, if not lying, disingenuous for years on this issue. And trump is correct that most, if not all, of SSS's 60 court cases were decided on legal technicalities, not examination of the evidence.

Second, almost every point Harris made was a lie. And the rest was pure gobbledegook which meant exactly nothing.

Let's take one and examine it. The Charlottesville Lie. Trump NEVER praised any nazi. He categorically condemned the nazis. Even snopes has acknowledged that, as can any person who actually listened to his remarks in full. You can, too, booby. They haven't been able to censor that, although they have certainly tried. Find it and listen to his full statement and YOU COME BACK AND TELL ME THAT HE PRAISED NAZIS.

There are 3 possible explanations for the 'point' Harris made.

1. She is ignorant and has never listened to Trump's remarks that day. That alone should disqualify her.
2. She is stupid and doesn't comprehend that "...I’m not talking about the neo-Nazis and the white nationalists -- because they should be condemned totally. ..". means that he did not praise the nazis.
3. The completely false narrative that the left and the media has been pushing since that day is useful to her so she decided to use it to ensure the ignorant vote.

In any case, how can anyone who is in power, or being considered for a position of power, not be able to acknowledge or even consider a truth that is so obvious? And to use so obvious a falsehood to advance her political goals? I know biden made that lie the whole basis for his candidacy 4 years ago, but he has an excuse: not being of sound mind.

Regarding the "eating of pets" claim - there was an incident in Canton (not Springfield), OH, where a Black woman skinned, cooked, and ate a cat in the presence of witnesses. However she was not Haitian, she was an American citizen, born in the USA. Even JD Vance admitted that the claims could be rumors.

As to the rest of the debate, I think the moderators were a little harder on Trump than on Harris. Neither candidate did much to demonstrate that they really had ideas for how to solve the country's problems. But Harris did accomplish one thing, and that was to make a clear contrast between her and Trump. Whether that will do anything for the polling numbers remains to be seen.

And what about those earrings?

I do not know what the truth is to the cat eating stories, but in my research I found it is not out of the question. The voodoo that is practiced widely in Haiti involves animal sacrifice.

But the Harris strategy was to play to the ignorant. Even Time Magazine had to admit that she lied through her teeth.

For people who pay attention to politics and the issues, it was brutally obvious she was lying and pandering to people who do not pay attention. Yeah, sure she has a plan for everything. So does everyone else, but what the hell is it? And if she had any, why hasn't she implemented it by now? And if she has implemented it, why are the results so bad?

And her answer to 'are we better off now than 4 years ago?' showed how completely out of touch she is and how much she has and is intending to hoodwink the American people.
