In 2022, Dave McCormick lost the Pennsylvania Republican primary for Senator to Dr. Oz. This year he won the primary and is running against Bob Casey.
The McCormick campaign mistakenly tweeted a story about illegal immigrant crime from a TV station in Philadelphia, Mississipppi.
Both campaigns had catchy retorts:
We made a mistake on our tweet, and that’s not nearly as bad as Bob Casey making a mistake leaving the border wide open.
Since David McCormick lives in Connecticut, it’s not surprising he can’t tell the difference between Pennsylvania and Mississippi. We can help, Dave — Pennsylvania is the state that is going to reject you in November.
Where is Virgil Tibbs when we need him?

And the picture they posted with the video is definitely not Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Aside from the police car being different, it’s bright, not many buildings, and looks very southern.

I'm more concerned about Pennsylvania's border being left wide open for out-of-staters to take GOP nominations from Pennsylvanians. The party clearly didn't learn its lesson after picking the crudites-gourmand-slash-quack-doctor from New Jersey two years ago. Is the GOP bench in the Keystone State really so narrow that they have to export their jobs? They really couldn't find a total whackbag in their own state to serve as the sacrificial lamb? Was Lou Barletta not available?
I don't like putting myself in a position to help the GOP reorganize itself into a functional party... but seriously, guys, what the hell?!
