The Olympics Swimming Controversy

Heard through the grapevine that the girl who finished dead last in the breast stroke competition went to the officials and said she didn't want to complain but said she thought that the other girls were using their arms.
I made my jaded 21 year old LOL at this.

Actually it was a Norwegian girl. It was in one of those Norwegian joke books that were popular in the 1980's-Ole and Lena Humor.
My 100% Norwegian descent maternal grandmother laffed and laffed at the jokes in that book-I am happy to be reminded of that memory of her.
Her grandpa (a tough old Norwegian) used to sit in a room and count his gold coins. My mom remembers looking under the door and seeing him do that.

I had a great friend of Norwegian descent. She had the best Sven and Ole jokes

I am of Norwegian descent, maternally, great and grandparents. I don't remember hearing those jokes til I was grown.
We were too busy eating lutefisk, lefse and krumkake.
