Aside from him mixing up putin for zelenskyy and trump for harris, he had a good day. Could happen to anyone. Like mixing up what country to bomb. Saying the exact wrong thing at exactly the wrong time. But I didn't watch any of it. Must've been cheap fakes reported by the right-wing media. They lie about everything, unlike the state-controlled media conglomerate.

This was pretty much what I expected to see from him in the debate. He did fine, given a low bar.

Even after the debate, I haven’t been worried at all about whether he’s capable of effectively serving the remainder of his term.

I’m still sticking to my story, though, which I expressed at length in several posts in the thread that Skoop started.

The Democrats need a different candidate on the ballot in November.

Not surprised that you “didn’t watch any of it” but nevertheless pop off about it as though you think that any of us will consider that you’re offering any insight. Just like the “Star Chamber” information and evidence, and many other things that you seem to proudly proclaim to be literally ignorant of, since there wasn’t information about them coming through the prism of the echo chamber.

Maybe you could check to see whether your friend who lives in South Texas watched, and get his take if he did.

I saw a different press conference. Yes, it was better that the debate, but that's about as low a bar as you can set. Biden was strong at the start, reading scripted comments off the teleprompter. But as the hour wore on, he started to ramble and go off on tangents. I know at debates or press conferences, politicians don't always answer direct questions, but Biden often seemed to forget what the questions were. There were a few times he started a sentence, stopped, hesitated, and then started, "Anyway,..." and went off on a different tangent. When he was asked what he wished he had done differently about Gaza, he wound up talking about meeting Golda Meir and visiting the Afghanistan poppy fields.

He did acknowledge that his delegates were free to vote for anyone at the convention, but added they had no reason to. (A convention floor fight, which would more accurately be a convention zoom call fight) is the last thing the Democrats need.)
