Interview with an Israeli woman who helped prepare the bodies of female victims of October 7th. Interestingly, her husband helped prepare male bodies. Israel, apparently, has a group of volunteers that they call on to help to prepare bodies in mass casualty events.

One of the most striking things was that they did not get the bodies for a week.

On another topic and after watching some videos on the attacks, I was surprised to learn that while every Israeli house seems to have a safe room for rocket attacks-these rooms do not have locks. I suppose this is to help rescuers if the house is hit-but it did not work well on October 7th.

Actually, maybe your little aphorism does work both ways. Maybe by "blindly going in all guns blazing" Hamas created a tougher, more determined Israel than they ever deemed possible. As happened with the US after Pearl Harbor.

You know, since about 2006, Israel has been following the exact opposite policy of "blindly going in all guns blazing." They completely withdrew from Gaza-all settlements and everything. I think we all know that you were 100% in favor of the Gaza withdrawal.

You talk as if you think I am opposed to Israel going after Hamas. I've never said that. I have said that they need to be cautious in how they proceed, which they haven't always been.

The Ukrainians have faced two years of terror attacks from Russia, but their responses are targeted to minimize civilian casualties. Of course many of their attacks have been in occupied parts of the country, where they're trying not to hit their fellow countrymen, but that's also the case when they launch raids into Russia itself.
