Interesting you mention this. As someone pointed out elsewhere, Brighton Beach has a bunch of Russian immigrants who are thought to be here illegally, yet ICE keeps showing up outside Home Depots and at Tucson maternity wards. I wonder why.

Just to add fuel to the fire, the Trump administration, after halting a program letting thousands of people fleeing war or political persecution enter the US, the program has been restarted - for 60 White South Afrikaners to enter because they face racial discrimination in their homeland. Leaving aside the question of whether this really happened, how is it that they get in while others are left out. Surely people fleeing war or political persecution should be admitted irrespective of race or color, but singling out White South Afrikaners and giving them refugee status when they don't meet the criteria certainly implies a bias.
