Re: In light of today's decision
We used to have Sarcafont. We need eye-rolling font.
My provocative post was intended to show the consequences of this incredibly corrupt decision. For it to come down a day before the 248th anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration of Independence just adds to the indignity. Refute the substance of the post if you can, instead of clutching your pearls and posting about how evil leftists are calling for political assassinations on social media.
Assign it to Trump Derangement Syndrome if you wish. But Trump is the symptom, not the disease. The disease is the same one that rears its head every hundred years or so around the world. Anyone who has studied history recognizes it.
I'm taking a break.

Re: In light of today's decision
I'll assign it to TDS, because I know you're more reasonable that this. The court made the right decision. It was not a decision about Trump, it was about the presidency. There are checks and balances to allay your concerns, all of them but Trump becoming president again. But that's just it. He'll assume the office for four years and hopedully we'll be better off at the end. Maybe not, maybe it will be like Biden's term, or Obama's where the split in the political system became greater than ever. Who knows. But there will be an election in 2028 and whichever of these to octogenarians wins in November, niether will be on the ballot then.mrkelley23 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 03, 2024 4:53 amWe used to have Sarcafont. I am somewhat relieved mrkelley has backed off what he posted. But he is an example of what is out there in the real world. I am afraid and have been and will continue to pray for the safety of President Trump.
I hope mrkelley will read the post explaining the ruling and the three levels of immunity. No President can escape prosecution or removal for crimes like Sotomayor so foolishly and recklessly put in her dissent. And anyone who continues to disseminate this lie is inciting it to actually happen.

Not surprising that you cannot appreciate the hyperbolic nature of the initial comment. For you, there is no reality that is not hyperbolic.flockofseagulls104 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 03, 2024 9:26 amI am somewhat relieved mrkelley has backed off what he posted. For what it’s worth, I think the decision is fine as it is. As always, the problem is, with any law, what human beings are executing them? Doesn’t really matter what constraints we put on Donald Trump, if he’ll be a narcissistic megalomaniac and disregard them anyway. He was already debating shooting protesters just because they thought that George Floyd did not deserve to be murdered in open daylight.
The reason that did not happen was because his defense secretary said no, not because the Supreme Court was involved.

I understand you believe Trump to be a narcissistic megalomaniac. Based on what? I can look at the record of his first term. I think it was very successful. The propaganda that has been promulgated in the media about him since the day he announced he was running for President as a REPUBLICAN? I think that is bullshit coming from a bullshit worldview. Just about all those claims have been proven wrong. I would suggest you re-read every post you have saved here on this bored and come up with a similar assessment of your own behavior.Weyoun wrote: ↑Thu Jul 04, 2024 12:14 pmNot surprising that you cannot appreciate the hyperbolic nature of the initial comment. Please spare us your bullshit world delusions. This is Independence Day. Let us real world people celebrate it in peace before the bullshit world claims it and renames it National Hotdog Preservation Day or some other crap.As one example, I mentioned above how he wanted to shoot American citizens practicing their First Amendment rights because they wanted the police to murder Black people just a little bit less.

Chauvin may not be guilty of what he was accused of.

You can't seriously think he is capable of a fraction of the self awareness to watch, much less fairly assess anything that might budge his worldview even an iota?Beebs52 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 04, 2024 5:20 pmMuch of it wasn't. Gosh, if only the jury had seen this video, which is probably being circulated around the various Russian bot sites, instead of sitting through a back-and-forth process of evidence discussion where both sides get their say, Chauvin might not be guilty of asphyxiating someone on live camera!tlynn78 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 04, 2024 7:22 pmShirley Ugest! Consistent theories with you guys, and why you’re basically a little chunk of vomit, Actually start with a conclusion and then work backwards, finding some sort of creepy website to support your ideas, and demanding the rest of us spend even more time hearing out your breathtakingly stupid ideas, instead of assuming that we actually looked at this stuff also, and we’re not stupid people, and we can make judgments too. For all the contempt I have for you, remember it started with your contempt for all of us.
You’re wrong about this, vaccines, global warming, and pretty much anything that requires an assessment of facts, as you don’t even understand what facts are - you just have your ideas about what should be, and why the rest of us are trying to fool you, and so you dig around until you find this crap and assume it is the complete truth.
Happy Fourth!

A number of psychologists and other mental health experts have suggested that Donald Trump appears pathologically and malignantly narcissistic (e.g., [19–23]; see also [24]). To these experts, his grandiosity is fairly straightforward: he has stated innumerable times in many public forums that he is a “stable genius”, knowing more than anyone else about a wide variety of topics (e.g., technology, infrastructure, the economy; for review see [25, 26]). His statements are often self-centered and show little regard for other people, and he lies effortlessly and without compunction [26, 27]. Biographical analyses of Donald Trump have suggested that his grandiosity may belie a vulnerability to feeling weak and unimportant, and consequently he is very sensitive to being wrong and needs constant reassurance of his greatness and importance [21, 22].

Re: In light of today's decision
Oh, what is it this time? Oh, we're bringing back an oldie but a goodie? A list of how many? I forget, 'psychologists' signing on to a piece of paper disseminated by the 'press' without even a one of them having ever interviewing him or even ever being in his presence? Why not 51 of them? Surely they could have found that many. That was the number of 'intelligence' experts that signed a piece of paper prepared by democrat operatives lying to the world, and to you, that Hunter Biden's laptop was a fake and russian disinformation in order to save its candidate from defeat and prosecution? Another group of (only) 17 eminent 'economists' signing a piece of paper saying whatever bullshit they decided to say? Gee, I guess that one must be genuine, too.kroxquo wrote: ↑Thu Jul 04, 2024 8:38 pmIn response to the claim of narcissism, add the NIH to the denizens of the swamp afflicted with TDS:flockofseagulls104 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 04, 2024 12:22 pmI understand you believe Trump to be a narcissistic megalomaniac. Where is their piece of paper on Joe Biden's current state of mind, pathological lying throughout his career, lack of ethics and deviant sexual behavior?
Krox are you really this dumb? How many times will you need to be lied to before you face reality? I will sign a piece of paper right now testifying that you are you are being willingly delusional that Joe Biden is mentally fit to be charged with the responsibility of his office, disregarding the evidence of your own eyes and ears. And that piece of paper will be 10000 times more truthful than any of those referred to above.
In your wildest imagination, how could you think your link has ANY credibility after the track record, and the pattern, of its predecessors? I don't know if you are that dumb, or if the democrats just assume you're that dumb. Or probably both.
OMG, I just saw this and I had to check if it was from the Babylon Bee, but it is apparently true.
