End of Q1-Portfolio check up

#1 Post by Spock » Tue Mar 31, 2026 4:40 pm

Given that about a year ago-there were a lot of giddy people here because a few weeks into the Trump Admin-the stock market was down.

So I tend to post a quarterly checkup thread on how portfolios and the indexes are going.

Since Jan 20, 2025-my portfolio is up about 25% and the major indexes are up about 7%.

For Q1 2026-my portfolio is up about 8% and the major indexes seem to be down about 5% on average.

FTR-I have very little in tech stocks and such.

I’m curious about whether you’re worried about your input costs this year. I’m guessing that with all of the federal money that you’ve gotten and will expect to get that you’re not all that concerned.

One thing that I’ve noticed: Cadillac kings tend to think that they’re cuter than they actually are.
