Quot of the day, re: Minneapolis Church attack
"Nazis aren’t people who deport people for sneaking into a country illegally, Nazis are people who storm churches and harass worshippers and force them to leave."
..what country can preserve it’s liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? let them take arms.

War is where the government tells you who the bad guy is.
Revolution is when you decide that for yourself.

There's that.
When reality requires approval, control replaces truth.
To argue with a person who has renounced the use of reason is like administering medicine to the dead. -Thomas Paine
You can ignore reality, but you can't ignore the consequences of ignoring reality. -Ayn Rand
Those who can make you believe absurdities, can make you commit atrocities. -Voltaire

You mean like this?

One thing we are learning is that this church apparently was a wicked, weird place - one of the offshoots of John Piper's ultimately failed ministry in Minneapolis.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a21iXsxHVVI
That goes into a story about how a member of the congregation was abused by her husband - so Cities Church excommunicated her. This story is over a year ago, and I am sure more tea will be spilled.
To be clear - that protest was counterproductive, even if Pastor Easterwood is a pig, and a great example of how far the Christian Church has fallen to accommodate evil.
But to compare that to Nazism? Stop. The better analogy would be all the mainline German denominations that shrugged and went along with Hitler.

Talk about falling into the weeds, especially for someone who is less than up on Christian doctrine.Weyoun wrote: ↑Mon Jan 19, 2026 6:14 pmYou mean like this?

I’m not surprised to learn that Trumpers believe they have some special insight into Christianity

I'm not surprised that non trumpers don'r realize that sorta trumpers in the past have changed minds.
Plus don't even tell me about Christianity. Weyoun, don't even. It's embarrassing

I am not disagreeing with you. American Christianity, in its current state, is embarrassing.
